Ljubicic/Djok is putting me to sleep. Just win it already, Djok. With movement that bad, poor Ljubicic doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell.

Haha yes it is! (I'm not brave - or crazy - enough to do it myself.. ) Beak's match has bored me away from the tennis. I'll check in for the night matches i think.

Beaker's match is finished - thankfully. Ivan has to be either hurt or about to retire.
Nice of Sam to bring the clown shoes. Was he trying to match his opponent's shirt?

Fab and Gicquel are a set and a break up in their doubles match.

Watching bits of the Querrey-Yani match, and just thinking about how the networks are so gung-ho patriotic, particularly at the US Open. Now I'm not patriotic in my tennis allegiances, I like who I like based on the game and the person, not the nationality. But I'm perfectly willing to like American players, it's just they often make it so hard!
They = both the players and the coverage, btw. I mean, the Williams and now Roddick I'm happy enough with now, but the tv pushes so hard in other cases that it's counter-productive. Anyway, as to Querrey, I've been neutral, but the Samurai are tilting me decidedly anti. Not quite firm on that yet, have to see how they behave here, but it sure killed Blake's rep(with me) with similar shit.

acre, I couldn't agree more. I have a friend who likes all the American men--and even likes the J Block and Samurai--and I have to keep stopping myself from saying "whhhhhyyyyyyyyy?" I get so irrationally angry at the players because of their fans and the commentators.
I raced home, all excited to see Feli play since he is on a TV court--but it's off air! So annoying.

If I can be shallow, I absolutely hate the Rambo headband look Sharapova is sporting lately. The material doesn't seem like it'd be all that good at absorbing sweat and I think the way she wears it covering her ears is just strange looking. I love her dress though.
I didn't see enough of Sam's match to know how the Samuri were today; were they as obnoxious as in the past? That's what started my intense dislike of Blake, I just got sick of those fools and how hypocritical it made Blake look.

Nope. No 360--or TTC. Dammit. Feli played so sloppy in that tiebreak.
I have the TV on as well and Maria's dress is very pretty--but I just realized that the white part is some weird satin-like material. Man, she can never put it completely together, can she?

Sharapova's dress is not bad (especially for her) but it reminds me of Olympic ice skating or something. The headband is just heinous.
eta: Do you have cable or satellite, lt? I've got Dish, with a package that doesn't include TTC, but they're giving a free preview during the USO.

I'm supposed to be studying but I had to stop and watch a bit of Lopez/Dent. I watched too many Lopez matches in Montreal and I miss the way he yells, rather than grunts, when he hits the ball. Two players that like to serve and volley make for a fun match.
