I think this is Elena's chance to finally shine. I have to think she's got an even chance in a final vs either Stosur or Jankovic, especially now that she has the confidence from winning the gold medal. I'd be okay with any of them - well, except for if JJ beat Elena in the final. Any other matchup sounds like fun.

Really- gosh darn come on Melzer then!

I am kinda surprised because the French crowd seems to adore Nole when tbh he has the expressiveness that French crowds seem to loath unless it is (beloved and adorable) Guga. But Guga would have never demanded that the crowd cheer for his opponents UEs. That is beyond the pale.

Djoker had his usual chest pumping, screaming celebration when he won, and then Melzer quickly won the next game. At least he's keeping the pressure on Djoker. Now if he can just convert a break point. . .

I don't loathe Nole but his winning the FO wouold kinda suck for me. I could grasp my head around any of the others winning and get giddy on their behalf. But with Nole- would just expect for his "My Second Grand Slam" book. I just don't give two shots about him- and I have feeling for the other players.

There are some fantastic points going on in this Rafa/Nico match. I love clay court tennis at its best.
