I haven't been able to watch, but I just checked in and saw that Melzer broke back. At least he seems to be making it a little interesting.

I'm so bored, I shut off the feed. Now I'm ready to go back to bed. But I'd love to see the Sod win a major...

I don't even know how I would deal with that. The only thing worse for me would be Beaker winning another major and with the way he's been playing lately I don't have much fear of that.

I just checked back in expecting to see a final score, but for some reason, Melzer refuses to die. Not that I dislike him or anything, but at this point isn't it just a delay of the inevitable?

I'm twisted; what can I say?
eta to clarify: in response to breezy.
eta again: why is Melzer doing this to me?

Uh-oh, Rafa just missed an easy overhead . . .

Oh well. A little bit of drama at the end there. It was endearing to see how hard Melzer was working right up until the end, but Rafa just never really lost control.

I'm honestly feeling that Sod has an excellent chance to beat Rafa on Sunday. And conditions are supposed to be humid and rainy, which will favor the Swede. I'm scared shitless!

I'm scared too because Sod may be able to get in Rafa's head, especially if Rafa gets off to a slow start.
On the other hand, Rafa may be hungry to seek revenge for last year.
I'm looking foward to an exciting match.

I think he does too, but I like Soderling so I'm hoping I'll be okay with either winner--just *please*please*please* be a good match.
I think Melzer played really well at the end of that third set. I was thinking a fourth was a distinct possibility--especially with that random bug flying into Rafa's eyes while he was serving.
Thanks falafaclese for posting the link to the stream. I got back to my desk after the match was over and atdhe.net had already taken the stream off. By clicking on your link I get to watch Game Set Mats. Yeah! eta: um, but John is now dancing down the hallway so maybe I'm not happy I'm watching.

JMac loves Rafa's watch huh? I think he's gone on and on about it in every match.

I think he might be a little sarcastic when he talks about the watch. He and Ted were talking about how they have no clue why it is so expensive and when they showed a close up I could feel John saying the thing we all think when we look at it--"but what time is it?"

See, I thought John was angling to get one, but this makes more sense.
