I can't blame Kim for the way the announcers act like she is the most miraculous mother since Mary of the immaculate conception. But I can blame the announcers.
And I thought they were bad when they acted like Federer and Mirka had given birth to the first set of twins in 500 years.
I wonder what the press was like when Goolagong won her major as a mom. The media was different- but so were attitudes about women and working, etc.

I want to stay up and watch this match but I'm quite tired. I'm good with either one winning this match though, but leaning more towards Roger.
So far it's been good.

Binking and bleary-eyed, I clearly meant to sleep through all the night's tennis, but gee looky, here I am! Must've fallen assleep in the armchair sometime during the Li-Woz macth, moved myself to bed at some point .... and then at some time areound 3am woke up. Combo of weird dreams(my 93yo Dad at the door delivering cat food and me giving him absolute hell for coming out in the snow storm, and then transitioning into more "real time" and cats I'm abot to take out a protective order on. They had only one bowl of food out and "Mommy we don't really like that food so much" - Yeah, full disclosre, one of you should be calling the Humane Society on me cause clearly my cats SUFFER!
Grumble, grumble unfotunatey I'm one of those type whos' once I'm up, I'm up*, I don't do naps. And of course it's a Roger Nole GS semifinal already started, hard to turn my back on that. So I'm sleepy and crabby, but I'm here. And Djok is fully capable of beating Roger in the big ones. Don't wanna see that. Hard to know who I'd be pulling for if Roger doesn't win this. Ferrer woud be lovely, but I'll be scanning the skies for flying pigs. I actually like Djok better than Murray (I know!), but would also like to see Murray get a Slam, not over Roger, and get rid of that story that's been drummed into the ground relentlessly. Blahblah Brit,1000 year, all waiting on you Andy, and the longer it doesn't happen the worse and nastier the commentary gets, I'm way ready to be done with that.

And so: Li and Clijsters, I can happily deal with that. Means neither #1 or #2 will be finally winning Slam. Time is running out kids, you're both just gonna be a blip in the hisotory books if at least one of you doesn't win a Slam pretty damn soon. Shrugs, and rightfully so, in my opinion.
*Does going back to bed at 4:30am actually count as a nap, or just common sense?
