And as if the agony wasn't enough, my feed is buffering every few seconds so I get to sit here and contemplate Venus frozen in time for 3 seconds right before I see the ball fly long or dive into the net.

Just disgusting. Well, at least it's over.

Well damn. Guess I'll root for Bartoli. Despite her ability I just cannot root for Maria.

I remember watching some ESPN fluff review show yesterday, and all of them repeatedly said they favored the Williamses to win. Wow.
Oh dear, this sets up the very distinct possibility of a Maria - Vika final. I predict a run on earplugs in SW19.

I hope Venus and Serena can move on and have a good summer hard court season. This day has been a total bummer so far. I love Marion, and I hope she keeps it up, but seeing both sisters knocked out back to back sucks. As for Pironkova, I have nothing to say to her.

Oh yeah, Aza-enka - well I would like he- if it wasn't fo- the goddamn SC-EAMING! Good game, just can't stand the noise.
Se-ena was p-etty upbeat in he- comments though, which I'm pleased about - she did do well given the long long layoff, not a shabby outcome in the end.
Phew, onto some matches I can maybe enjoy - Nadal and Fed, you can just about always count on them!

I think you can say that about both of them, even if Venus did not look good today.

I feel the same way. I feel worse for Venus than Serena, if only because I keep wondering if Serena is ready physically to come back. She did seem fairly upbeat in the presser though. Maybe she was just out of breath and rusty. I hope.

Any of you guys who are feeling ambivalent about the remaining lesser-name women, check out Wimbledon Tonight on TTC. In recent days Martina and Bill M. have done extended interviews with Lisicki and Kvitova that have made me a fan of both young ladies. Kvitova's awe to be in the presence of Martina was adorable (coming from one powerful Czech lefty to another.)

I did love that Kvitova interview. I'm totally drawing a blank as to the third person there (Macatee?) because I was totally focused on Martina being in awe of Petra's game as Petra was stunned to garner her idol's attention.
Serena played well and just ran into one of the hottest players on tour. Nothing to sneeze at.
Venus' seemed like a recurring nightmare. What is so dazzling about fricking Pironkova?
Either Caro has to admit she's not so hot on grass (in the way, say, Murray says about clay) or not play that tournament in Denmark right after the French Open.
Oh Feli. You just had to be the dramatic one. Let the British crazy begin.

Did the Centre Court players have to bow/curtsy to William & Kate?

In the NYC area NBC is still with Wimby, roseha.
Bravo to Lopez. Did any of you Feli-maniacs get to see it streaming?
What color are DelPo's eyes? They're gorgeous, whether they're light brown, blue, green ... lavender. I can't tell.
ETA: Whoops, roseha. WNBC says goodbye to Wimby. They suck.
