Well, the second set was fun to watch. . .
Congrats to Serena and thank you to Aga for making Serena play a non-power game for a bit. That was much more enjoyable tennis for me.

So happy for Serena! So good to see Aga get into the match. I think a 3 setter is just what Serena needed to finally settle her nerves. I just got home to see the last set but I'm pleased for both of them. I like Aga.

Thrilled for Serena. Good job!
For some reason Venus looks particularly stunning today.

I love that Agi took it to Serena. With the way Serena played in the past few matches, and during the first set today, it would have been easy to lie down and let Serena stroll across the finish line. Agi's sooo tough.

Ugh. Serena rarely gets me choked up, but when she got choked up during her speech, it really got to me.

I love Serena's short-waist jacket -- very flattering.

I also love that Agi looked upset rather than resigned after losing. She felt like she had a chance. I don't think people give her and her game enough credit.
Serena did well to get her timing back after that second set. She played a very mature match today.

I was thinking the same thing. The braids with the golden color mixed in with a more natural color looks nice. I wish Serena would go for a more natural color--her hair just looks fried.

The Brits are on a roll (no pun intended) -- they even have a pair in the wheelchair final.

Woohoo. I don't know how much we'll get, but it's so nice to see the men's doubles final on TV and not a computer.

YEEAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Now no matter what happens on Sunday I'm gonna be happy. This. So this. I'd be really happy for the brits, but I'd also be happy for Roger to reclaim the number 1 ranking. Honestly, I didn't think he'd ever get this close again. Glad to be proven wrong. (just caught up on the PVR)

Congrats to Serena, it meant so much to her. touching to see. And seeing Venus watching her so moving too.
Also great that Agi didn't roll over and give up.
So I missed Charles Barkley? That's what I get for sleeping till 9:30. I think he is way funnier than most comedians and his observations are great too.

roseha, he might show up again tomorrow during Breakfast at Wimbledon. He talked briefly about the women's final but he was all about Roger vs. Andy. I don't imagine he was in England for the women's final only.
Another reason to root for the Brit/Dane pair in this doubles final is that the winner gets an automatic bid into the WTF and I'd love to see the crowd get all excited about the doubles in the round robin.
eta: OMG! Miranda Hart is sitting in front of Rod Laver! You know how you see someone once and then you can't stop seeing them? One of my local PBS stations has started airing "Miranda"--this absolutely hysterical britcom writing/starring Miranda Hart. I was watching an episode last night which led me to watch one of her Graham Norton appearances online which led me to her twitter where she's spent the past two weeks talking about Wimbledon (her "Huzzah for Muzzah" made me laugh, although I'm sure that's a popular phrase over there). My world, it is colliding.

What time is the ladies' doubles final?

Not sure about a specific time but I think it just follows the men's doubles final. Wimby website shows it on the same court after the men.
ETA: It's raining so they're closing the roof but did say the women's doubles would indeed follow the men's.
