If Andy does win, it would make sense that he'd do it with absolutely as much suffering as possible.

I'm hoping I can sit down now--I've pretty much finished with straightening up all the paperwork around the living room.
If Djokovic loses this match and says something about the crowd "rooting for Andy" I promise you that I will stop trying to like him.
eta: well, the crowd is certainly going to get behind Andy now. 2-5 down so he calls in the trainer.
They're not going to show the ceremony, are they? I don't want to jinx anything but I'm going to prep my computer for the online coverage.

And Novak takes an injury time out.
Really, really, really annoying.

Wow, congratulations, Andy! He finally got the monkey off his back. He's a gold medalist and Grand Slam champion all in the same year!

YEEHAW!!!!!!!! I unapologetically love Andy Murray so I'm beyond thrilled right now.
And heeeeee, Andy went limping over to his box and Kim yells down to him "where are your shoes?" I can't hear what he responded but she said "they're in your bag, go back" and he promptly turns around and limps back. Love that.
Oh, and how funny was it that Andy's entire box was hugging and crying and Lendl still wasn't smiling.
Hey Mary, are you going to tell Andy that in the fourth you said he had no chance to win if it went to five?
Player of the year! Woohoo!

Wonderful for Andy. So they let the men talk and not the ladies? Fuck that.

"This is your success as well." Was that a diss about the crowd? If so, it was unfair.

Novak was talking to Murray's box, about his team sharing the success too.

I think, but I could be wrong, that he was congratulating Andy's box because he then said he wanted to thank his box as well.
I'm so happy I could spit (elegant, ain't I?) and now I'm going to watch the last 30 minutes of the match since I had been wandering around the house before.

that's a good question. I knew Roger was going to hold on to #1 no matter what and I'm going to assume Djoker's good summer and a return to the final will keep him at #2 but after that? I didn't look.

I have to conclude that this final was incapable of making me happy. Yes, I'm glad Andy didn't lose 5 Slam finals, so I guess this was good enough by me. But I just don't actively like eithe- of them. Don't dislike, just can't get into it. Not the playe-s I wanted in the final. But they we-e, and they a-e both excellent and dese-ved it. So a tepid "good fo- you Andy". Had himself quite the summer! And again, both finals competitive and close, glad to see that.
