lt - seems like most of the high-wattage doubles partner swapping that occured at the end of last year isn't working out... the only player who seems to have come out stronger this year is Zimonjic - who is now with Benneteau but started with someone else (Lindstedt?).
That said, mad respect for the amount of work Ivan Dodig put in today.

Add in that his partner, Melo, was imploding out there. Dodig must have been like, "dude, do you know what I've been through today? Keep it together."

I'm glad that Serena's streak didn't beat Venus' and that they both have 5 Wimbledon's for the moment.
I think I'm done with Wimbledon for now. Bring on the hard courts!

Still reeling from Serena's loss. I like Lisicki, though, and really enjoy her big game. It's always so impressive to see a player who can stand toe-to-toe with Serena.
Anyone know why the Williams parents weren't there this year?
I am happily rooting for Li Na, but wouldn't be sorry to see Radwanska, Lisicki, Kvitova or Stephens take the title. I am barely interested in the men, sadly. I guess I'll root for Delpo (assuming Ferrer and Verdasco don't really have a chance to win the whole thing).
I may live to regret this, but as of this moment I wouldn't be unhappy to see Janowicz win it, because he seems like he might have the guts to take it, and how great would that be for Poland? (Wouldn't a Radwanska-Janowicz double be amazing?) Unfortunately I gather he's kind of an asshole

harry, I believe Oracene might have been traveled out or probably would have come if Serena had made it to the final. Richard didn't come because of his 3 month old son, Dylan. Plus he doesn't like to fly. And then of course Venus has her back injury, I would have liked to have seen her at the 40 Love and former # 1's tea party they had.
Pressure is a funny thing with Serena. Sometimes you can just tell that when the media mentions something too much to her, it gets in her head. Like last year and never losing in the 1st round of a grand slam. This year it's the streak and that Sabine has beaten the last 3 French Open winners. It was odd to see her throw it away being up 3-1 and not closing it out. I hope the US Open goes better for her. I imagine she's probably exhausted.

I think Li Na winning Wimbledon would be awesome for tennis. Her personality alone would really make her an even bigger star. I didn't realize Stephens was still there, is she playing well?

I think Li Na winning Wimbledon would be awesome for tennis. Her personality alone would really make her an even bigger star. I didn't realize Stephens was still there, is she playing well? Not really. She's been incredibly inconsistent - however, her one good match was against her toughest opponent, Jamie Hampton (who is now in the Top 30 due to Eastbourne run but was unseeded here). I do think Stephens-Bartoli will be highly entertaining. Nice win from Sabine today. Finally have a big upset follow it up. Perfect timing as it's starting to rain. Li had 4 SPs but Radwanska stood strong and won the first set. Quality match but Li is going to rue a couple of those SPs - there was a serve she should've challenged and a really dodgy overhead. It's weird to not really have a ladies player to root for. I pretty much like everyone left for different reasons. Flipkens seems like the odd duck in the bunch - but then I look at her ranking and she's not low at all.

Great first set from Li and Radwanska. Too bad (for my liking) that Na couldn't take it.

I love that she came out today and played a crafty game instead of the big game she played against Serena. I agree with Chris Evert, she's a smart player and that really showed today. I'm fully backing her to win this tournament. I hope she keeps it together for the semi--I remember in 2011 that she lost it a bit.
I like Aga but I'm really glad Li Na just won that second set--I really want a Li Na/Sabine Lisicki semi.
I know!
I don't know what is happening with me but when they showed Djoker at the desk and said they were going to be interviewing him I actually clapped! What is happening?!?!
eta: Venus fans! Don't forget that the Venus Vs. documentary is airing tonight on ESPN at 8pm ET.

Not really a surprise Bartoli won that first game from the delay.
I know I called Kirsten the "odd duck" but she's playing like she belongs in a quarterfinal match on Centre Court against a former Wimbledon champ. I know the commentators cannot stop talking about her connection to Clijsters but she does seem to be channeling Kim's fight out there.

I cannot believe how much I was rooting for Flipkens by the start of the second set. I really like her!
Now I just need her to beat Bartoli. Bartoli's tics and mannerisms are just too much for me. I didn't watch much of that match at all--every time I turned it on Bartoli was doing something to annoy me/Sloane. And since you are supposed to play to the server's pace I wish Sloane could have just served into Bartoli's back and have the point count.

Radwanska pissed me off with that shady medical time out. Not quite Azarenka levels, but still take the MTO when its on your serve.

Missed a whole day - but thank you for that photo, skyz! Stunned, really, though not sure why.
I am fully rooting for Lisicki.
