2009! Bracket pool (UPCOMING: US OPEN)

I do the top half by quarter then the bottom half by quarter. Mostly because I don't like to scroll.

I had a clear idea of who I thought would win this. Even so, I do the bracket and (right now) none of the top 4 are even in my semis. I figure I will edit this before the deadline, when my sanity returns and I realize there's no way Federer will lose to Davydenko three tournaments in a row. The other three I probably will stick with: del Potro doesn't seem healthy, Djokovic has looked terrible and Nadal got the short straw.

FYI: Gilles Simon has dropped out. Ferrer has been moved into his place, and Isner has been moved into Ferrer's place.

Good thing I went back and made some adjustments 'cause with that withdrawal I had Blaz Kavcic getting into the third round.

Tiki, it totally is OCD, isn't it? I'm so bad that I had my hot water heater break last week and, even though I knew I was getting it replaced in a couple of days, I couldn't leave any dishes in my sink at the end of the day so I was heating up water on the stove to get everything clean. I just couldn't have any dirty dishes in the sink when I went to bed.

eta: hmmmm, I just did the WTA pool and I ended up with the same final as the US Open--with Kim winning again. No clue how that happened.

Youzhny vs. Gasquet in the first round is the one I keep wanting to change my mind about. Which one will come out playing? Which one will come out as the head case?

I didn't even hesitate to choose Gasquet. So clearly, the smart money is on Youzhny.

Everyone is welcome, so feel free to join and make your picks whether you're just lurking, or just can't shut the hell up like me. Remember, the draws come out Thursday night/Friday morning depending on where you are. Play starts Monday (in Australia - Sunday in the Americas), and registration closes when the first match starts.

Just over 4 hours left before the start of play. Still a little time left to jump in the pool!

I submitted my picks for the main TTC bracket and was able to get my ATP picks into the private poop for tennis heaven but can't add WTA picks to the private pool. Any ideas as how I can do that?

The WTA pool asked me to enter my full address, while the ATP only needed the city, state and zip (I don't know why). Could that have been the problem?

The reverse was the case for me -it asked for full address for the ATP.

Oh well....at least I am in one.

I was looking at the breakdown for our picks in the pool. It seems hilarious that we as a group have Roddick as the favorite to win! The ladies one is a lot more typical - even though a bunch of brackets already got wrecked thanks to Kirilenko.

And in a strange turn of events 3rd place also goes to : Seltzer3

WTA:
1st place: Agentx
2nd place: falafaclese (that's me ;D)
3rd place: mooncreek and splat
