Feli reminds me of a guy I dated in college. (Not that good-looking, obviously--although he probably thinks he is/was.) Never met a mirror he didn't love. Hell, if we went to a diner or whatever that had mirrors on the wall I'd have to make sure his back was too it or he'd get completely engrossed in his own reflection.
chesty, aren't you supposed to hold off on the Pimm's until Wimbledon?

We all know about my crush on Youzhny.
Sasquatchpova is driving me mad. I'll be glad not to hear that screaming any more. And did someone purposely design that dress to make her ass look enormous? I shudder to think what it would look like on an average size woman.
ETA seriously sorry about that graduation, 'poca. I'd be opening a bottle of red if I were you.

Okay, Maria's dress. I've been spending loads of time on this and this is what I've come up with: The colors are beautiful. I love that plum with the grey/blue--the plum is picking up lavender in the grey/blue that's really nice. I like the length and fabric of the skirt. But something was off. When she wore the plum cover up I figured out where it goes horribly wrong--that bias cut of the plum from the dress. They should have made the entire outfit the grey/blue with plum accents or made the top plum with the bottom grey/blue (that would work better with a shirt/skirt rather than a dress). I don't like the shirring of the cover up at the top but it isn't egregious.
eta: atdhe.net has a pretty decent feed for Berydch/Murray. Not TV good, but not awful. And no commentating at all--just the sounds of the game.

Heh, Mary Carillo just called Henin low class (and Ivanovic). She's right though, yelling "Allez" or fist pumping during an opponent's error is yucky.

Well if Tsonga had to retire at least it was to Youhzny.
Damn. I just noticed that Verdasco and Almagro play each other in the next round. That means that one more Spaniard will be gone. Of course it also guarantees that one will go through. As much as I'm a fan of Verdasco, I'd like to see Almagro get to the next round. He's like the ugly step sister of the Spanish Armada. He gets no love. Generally, no one is asking him to dawn Calvin Keleins and swear at me in a commercial. Not that I want to see that but it would be nice to see him get some attention.

That is so unfair. To Almagro, I mean. I'd way rather see him in his Calvin Kleins than that preening peacock Lopez. No offense to those who prefer Lopez; it's all personal aesthetics, right?

I hate agreeing with Mary Carillo and her STUPID LAUGH. I would almost rather listen to a Sharapova match that Mary Carillo laugh.
And you're dead on about the Maria dress. The way the plum material cuts sideways from her hip makes her look as wide as a dump truck. Has she no full-length mirrors?

I am SHOCKED that Petrova's warm up outfit isn't pink. I would fully expect her to come out there in pink from head to toe.
I knew the Henin/Sharapova line score when I woke up this morning. I'm pretty surprised to see it was as close as it was. It really was the anti-Wozniacki/Pennetta match which might explain why I can never fully dislike Maria or Justine or Venus or Serena--to quote Mary Carillo--they play to win, not wait to have their opponent lose.

I'd probably take Lopez but I agree it's not fair that Almagro gets no attention from the press. I wonder if it is the same in Spain.
Berdych just broke. I love watching matches where I have no favourite.

Nico was in the Elle magazine spread in Spain a while back but only had one picture. I do think he is attractive in an unusual way- nice skin and eyes. And his recent weight loss has been flattering.
That can be a lot of fun- free and easy.

Day 9 OOP is up. It's going boys, girls, boys, girls on both show courts. Unfortunately, it looks like Nadal/Bellucci and Verdasco/Almagro will be going on at the same time. They are both the third match.
I was not a Berdych fan until I heard about how truly nice he is to his girlfriend, Lucie Safarova. They seem really good together.
Murray is annoying the crap out of me today. He's all MopeyPants out there.

I find Berdych creepily feminine. Maybe it's the super nice skin. His game is good - the head, not so much.
He's seemed that way since the AO final. I don't hate him. Mostly I just don't give a shit.

I lost my good feed and am now watching a EuroSport stream. Watching tennis is so exhausting . . .
eta: awwww, it's so cute that Petrova carries her own Sharpie.
I'm listening to Radio Roland Garros while watching Murray/Berych and they're talking about rain coming in.
So, it's 8pm and they've stopped play for rain. Would they come back tonight?
Hee, poor John. Salma Hayek was in the crowd and Ted asked John if he watched her on 30 Rock this season. He obviously hadn't, but couldn't say so since today he's an employee of NBC. His answer: "Yes, she's ummm. . . " and went completely silent until he could talk about the tennis point.
eta: (I'm totally talking to myself now.) Wow, starting a match that late and including a rain delay and they were still able to get the entire Berydych/Murray match in. Very unhappy that when NBC went off the air TTC did not pick the match up live. Henin/Sharapova for the third time? Really not necessary.

I had a match of my own this morning, so I didn't get to see a lot of RG today. I'm disappointed about Venus, but at least I didn't have to sit through the whole thing. I watched a little bit, and then I turned it off because I thought she might lose, and I didn't want to harsh my mood before going out to play. Good for Petrova. I t sounds like she held it down well today.
Is he really? He really keeps getting more and more fascinating to me, I had no idea.
As for Soderling, I have such a hard time reconciling the vibe I get from him when I see him speak (he really seems sort of soft spoken and thoughtful) and the reports about him always thanking the ball kids, with the comments I hear from the players. Who knows what's going on with him.
Robbie Ginepri needs to rethink his hair. A receding hairline and long hair don't go together.
