Another year done for the WTA. We have a new logo, a (slightly) different name, but mostly the same names (although some are back from extended vacations). Who do you think had the biggest impact this year? It has been like two years rolled into one what with Serena and Justine only playing the first half of the year, and Venus and Kim missing a lot of the second half of the year as well. In fact, the only two people in the top eight who have been consistently strong throughout the year are Vera and Caroline, and yet, although Vera made two major finals, neither had a major win. Then, of course, there's Francesca's French Open win against Sam. Performances have been all over the place.
Last year, Serena beat Kim by just one vote, and in 2008, Venus won. Cast your votes for 2010.

Even though I don't think she's the best player and she didn't win a slam I voted for C Woz. She's just so consistent.

I'm going with Kim. Woz's rank is higher, but Kim had more big wins, and knocked out bigger players on bigger stages. She beat Justine and Venus more than once, and I think she not only kept Venus from winning the US Open, but probably also from retaking the number one spot by beating her there and in the Miami final. What a difference a tiebreak makes.
I might have gone with Serena with her two Majors, but I think that is offset by her missing half the season. Not her fault, but I think she was away too long to top my list. Even still, I might have picked her over Kim if Kim's non-Major titles weren't so big.
