Wow- dolgo is on and Robin seems like he does not know what to do.
The announcers should have a group meet and decide how to pronounce Dolgo's last name. I think I have heard 5 different pronounciations.

I said it when he beat Tsonga, but I'm saying it again--I really like this kid (not such a kid, he is in his 20s). I think Darren is insulting him when he says his game is like Tomic's. Tomic's game makes me want to pull my hair out. Dolgopolov's is way more fun. And, breezy, you said it before--that Gumby serve is wacky fun.
apocalipstick, I'm lucky. My stressful game was earlier and even though I'm hoping for an all-green Superbowl, I don't need to fixate on the game going on now.
eta: however, I really like Soderling so I'm good with Dolgopolov taking two sets off of the four seed and then losing in five.

Tennis is live sport for the well-mannered.
Live hockey, and particularly minor league live hockey, is a fan's opportunity to shout every negative thought that crossed the brain. In fact, I took the opportunity to yell, "My exhusband is a total douchenozzle" at a hockey game. The other fans piped in with "Yeah, he's a douchenozzle, fuck him." My ex wasn't there. Ah. Live hockey.
Dolgo, does he have a nickname yet? He seems to be whipping up on Sod. Is Sod injured?

This is my first ever look at Dolgo - he looks like a cute kid to me. 22? Really? Rafa looked older at 18, and Rafa has a bit of a baby face, he just looked more mature. I certainy see nothing intrinsically mockable about him. The hair, oh my yes, but hairstyle is a choice and easiy changed. I'm also fine wih mocking hideous outfits and hair and etc - just not with mocking the actual person.
But Sod pretty much had me at "yoking", too, so I'd like to see him win this. Don't love him, but I like him okay.
ETA: watching on atdhe and I believe those are the calm, measured tones of Fred Stolle, no? One of my first loves in tennis commentary, way back when. It was Cliff and Fred and Mary in my earlier days of watching and I adored them all.

I like Robin too- not one of my tip top faves but I like him. His off hand in that slow-mo they just showed was hilarious

Hee. I was thinking the same thing. I was going to go with however Brad says it has to be wrong. Dick keeps changing his mind and Darren is just calling him Alex.

And in the world of women's tennis fashion this Aussie Open I pick Pennetta's as my favorite with Vania King a close second.

Flavia tends to wear some of my favorite outfits. She had this retro looking white and navy dress a couple of years ago that was one of my favorite looks in womens tennis in the last few years.
I am admiring how Dolgo is fighting in this set when perhaps some other players would just get ready for the 5th.
