He would break back, just to get broken immediately after.

He's going to give it right back, isn't he?
Yeah. And I've started to hear talk that as good as Roger and Rafa are that this is the "worst rest of the top 10" and that they don't step it up in the big moments. I don't agree with that at all--but I will be consoled with this loss that that talk will die down.
Not to say I still wouldn't rather Roger came back but. . .
. . . it didn't happen.
Luckily, for me, I love both Andy and David so I can root wholeheartedly for whomever wins the next semi in the final.
And the worst part of the loss? I don't get the next round of the Roger/Courier show. They were such fun together. Damn Jim, ask Djokovic at least one fun question. . .

Well that was dissapointing. I honestly can't stand the thought of listening to Djoker's insufferable family again if he wins this thing.

Definitely not woth getting up for, that's for sure - not for me anyway. I see your point harry, to an extent: but Djok already has a Slam(and the Davis Cup which washuge for those guys,) and Murray I ought to care, but my give-a-shit for him is broken, if it ever existed. Oddy, I feel worse for Roddick really - the man woud for sure have at least one Wimbledon title, if not more, if it weren't for Roger.
Djok and Murray are a good chunk of years younger than Roger, I figure they'll get their chances. Plus, y'know, again, some more, still - DON'T FUCKING BEAT MY ROGER, DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?? Only Rafa is allowed to do that, and then (please) as seldom as possible. He's just the only one I consider worhty.
Which I know is a pack of shit - you beat player x, then by definition you are worthy of beating player x.
I'm going to try and take comfort from your last sentence harry - and also, realistically, all I want out of Fed nowadays is one Slam a year, just one measly little Slam and we're good. Okay, it wasn't here, it won't be at the French, but his chances are still pretty decent at Wimby and the US. Just a long wait, that's all.
Well I'll still be keeping up with results and all, but my psycho-killer days are over for now. Roger's out, so I'm no longer for death by dismemberment, ha!

I would love it if the wee Ferru won his semi final but I don't think he can take out Djoker and I just can't deal with Nole's chest thumping and his annoying-as-al-hell parents.
Murray I can root for. He often annoys me on court but I really like the boy off of the court. Besides, take a good look at him. What else besides tennis does he have going for him?

What a nice feeling it is to wake up and see that Nole won I was so tired that I crashed after Li Na beat Woz. I hope he plays Murray in the finals. Wish it could have been Soderling but this I will take gladly.

Warning - I'm going on a rant here.
I had the opportunity last night to watch the whole Nadal/Ferrer match and may I just say the PMac sounded ridiculous throughout the entire match. He went on and on about how tragic it was that Nadal was injured and couldn't contend for the Rafa Slam
A tragedy in sports is not Nada injuring his hamstring and losing his quarterfinal match. People get injured and lose matches frequently. A sports tragedy was when Sergei Grinkov collapsed on the ice from an undiagnosed heart ailment and died in his wife’s arms. A sports tragedy was when Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili died on a training run at the 2010 Olympics.
Nadal’s loss was unfortunate and I feel really bad for him but PMac needs to have some perspective and shut the hell up.
Ok, I'm done now.

Omnibus catchup post - Sorry.
Frannie DEFINITELY not a lesbian - Isn't there a youtube video out there of her husband/boyfriend giving her the universal sign of "I want to perform oral sex on you" DURING a match changeover? The sign given, not the oral sex. I'm certain I saw that right after the French, but I can't youtube search from work and I'm not sure any of us need to see it. She and the man seem really into the sex though.
Pam's Feet - DAMN girl, those are some boats!
Woz's voice is in no way worse that the squeaky mouse noise that emits from Ana Ivanovic. That voice makes me want to scream
Rafa is keeping it on the down low, but I heard about the hamstring tear. Anyone know how long the recovery time is?
I didn't see the Federer/Djokovic match. Was Nole just playing well or was Federer struggling? I have felt a loss of confidence from Fed for a year or so now. He also seems a little more disinterested. Was that happening? I am at work and need the details!
ETA: Tragedy. Losing a match IS NOT a tragedy. I may exaggerate and say that thing Venus was wearing is a fashion tragedy, but I'm clearly being shallow and I don't repeat it like it's gospel. PMac is an annoying crapbag sometimes. Most times.
AND...okay, those of you who can youtube, search for the song I Just Had Sex featuring Akon. Funny as hell and LOVE the JMac cameo!

I love David, but my head is hoping for Andy. We'll see what happens when I actually wake up tomorrow morning to watch. Djokovic/Soderling would have been an absolute killer final if they were both playing well at the same time.
Little bit of column B and a lot of column A. Djokovic was really taking it to Fed and Fed (love him but. . . ) was doing that thing where it is like he expects the opponent to drop it down a level. Djokovic did not oblige.
Meanwhile, you all should see it out here! 19" and nowhere to put it. And NYC is bee-you-ti-ful right now (although how I'm going to get back home is a mystery).

Do you mean you heard about the injury before the match?
Djoker played a tremendous match. He was incredibly steady, with big, heavy hitting, great gets, fantastic serving and superb competitiveness. Rog was more up and down, but he played at a fantastic level as well, until he lost his serve when serving for the second set. However, I felt he got a bit more tentative on the biggest points. It looked like he had a small, but crucial, drop in confidence at those moments, just as you suggest, apo. I hope his work with Annacone will help there.

Do you mean you heard about the injury before the match? Not before the match. I didn't mean to imply that.
