From Roger's post match:
Bwahahahaha. I also like where he tells a reporter his question is stupid.

Awww... I was so ok with Roger losing until catching these first few minutes on the replay.
Hope you're ok in the snow, lt! ETA: ha to the above comment. I'm pretty sure he's masking it, but I really want that to be true!

Just looked promising in that Roger kind of way. Fought so hard for the first game, with Djoker double-faulting three times, I think! So hard not to think Roger'd have had some wind under his sails if he'd been able to capitalize on that.
Anyway, I'm like Joan Didion when it comes to watching his matches on delay -- hoping against hope to change the outcome! (I know, pathetic...) I was worse when he was up 5-2 in the second....
Can't believe you stayed up to see it - amazing. I'm lame in my old age, it would appear.

Nice thought Harry, that Rog can still improve. I agree in theory - disclaimer, I did not see a point of this match as I'd have gone sleepless (in more ways than one) and been a wreck. I do think that ultimately a win at Wimbledon or the USO would mean more to Roger and will hope for that.
I don't know who I would like to see win - if Ferrer has no chance I'll have to say Murray! Just because Nole's family is indeed so annoying plus the Brits can finally quiet down though who wants to bet they will all start with "Why can't a British man win Wimbledon??" lt I agree that the snow is so beautiful - was walking home from bus last night around 10 and it was so amazing though almost froze trying to take photos - Waking up was a strange mix of "no buses running" and trying to fathom why Roger lost.
On to the women's final. Go Li Na!

Anyone wake up for Ferrer/Murray? I woke up at 4:30 but dozed my way through most of the match until I had to legitimately wake up for work. Happy Andy won, and I think it's hysterical that he had no clue he was about to lose the 2nd set because he didn't know the game score. Happy it didn't go five because I want Andy fresh for the final--although, as he said, it was a hard fought four sets and he needed his ice bath.

I had no real hope for David, so I'm not surprised by the outcome. Hopefully, this will give him some confidence and he can push through, maybe at IW.
Groundskeeper Willie v. Beaker from the Muppets. Meh. I suppose I'm cheering for Willie because of the obnoxious DjokoRents. I must admit that Novak did seem a little more sincere and less over-the-top theatrical this tournament. That's a bonus for me.
Li Na all the way, baby!
I caught the Djokovic/Federer match on replay last night. Roger did that thing he does of "Hey, did you not just see that I hit a winner, how DARE you hit it back?" a couple of times. It made him half a step behind. I find it impossible to feel bad for Roger when he loses a match. Even he didn't seem all that broken up about it. The presser quotes were hilarious.

From Roger's post match: Bwahahahaha. I also like where he tells a reporter his question is stupid. Ahaha. I remember once someone asked him if he were a fairy and could make any wish what would he wish for (or something like that) and he was all "I'm not answering these idiotic questions." Because really, wtf? I suppose I'm rooting for Murray. Oh well, at least Ferrer gave it a good fight. It would be cool if Murray and Li Na won and we had two first-time slam champions.

We could still have two first-time slam champions. Djoker has a winning 4-3 record against Murray, but Murray won the last three times they played, and hasn't lost to Djoker since 2008

Watched the last two sets this morning. The fourth set was pretty exciting but it did seem that Murray had it in hand. Hopefully Murray keeps it up for the final. Does anyone know if this is real? Is Tomic's father really that big of an ass? www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgZBQmXmGK8&feature=related

I really doubt it. First, I don't know why Tomic and his dad would just happen to be sitting in on that video shoot, and second, all the camera angles were perfect for catching all the people involved. This was not an unexpected interruption. I have heard the father is quite a handful though. Geez, guru, I've heard nothing about this. I did hear that Serena had emailed MJ Fernandez a couple of days ago to say that she would be available for the April Fed Cup tie, which would not be happening if she was worried about losing her leg, but then maybe her people could be doing it to counteract the rumors? But why would they care about the rumors? This is really bumming me out. I hope it's not true.

I'm not usually one to repeat wild rumors but this was so jaw-dropping that I had to share. Glad to hear she's planning to play Fed Cup, which I think would qualify her for the London Olympics, though I'm not sure.

The Tomic video is a Nike video and Tomic is sponsored by Nike so. . . not real.
Is Sandra Rose credible? I've never heard of her (which means nothing) but I also don't think Chelsea Handler left 50 Cent heartbroken so I wouldn't give that awful rumor about Serena any mind.
