I miss Santoro. Stosur looks like she could beat any guy on tour at arm wrestling. Her muscles scare me, but not as much as the fact that half the WTA players have pudgy stomachs. I'm not sure I should be watching the Murray match before I go to sleep. Think of the possible Groundskeeper Willie nightmares... ETA Ryan Sweeting is kinda hot. Well-spoken, too. Does anyone know anything about him? |

I wanted to ask, how desperate is Doublemint when the best twins they can come up with are the Bryan brothers? I mean, what do they want me to think -- double the douchebaggery?

Ooh, that should get chesty back in here. Even if she's not reading, her Delpo Protective Bat Sense has got to be tingling like crazy.
But, as you may remember, I feel the same way about his tennis. He's just the loveliest guy, but his tennis has a real black hole quality. He looks so much handsomer with the short hair (and when he's not wearing the headband.) He also looks like someone else famous, and I just can't figure out who it is. His voice is also so deep, he sounds much older than his years.
Speaking of guys' hair, I'm a bit disturbed to realize that I find Soderling quite hot with his current hairstyle.

Ivanovic looks thinner. I also like the dress, from what I can see. Much better than those asymmetrical numbers in the yucky pastels she was wearing when she was number one.

You're not alone, harry; I adore the Sod and his evil gremlin grin. I'm not sure I find him hot, exactly, but I do really like him.
Oddly, I've been trying to figure out the same thing about Del Potro. He looks a little bit like what would result if Lurch and Huey Lewis had a baby.

Well, I tried. I've been watching two matches: Baghdatis and Ivanovic. But he's just starting a 5th set and she's up 3-1 in the third -- and it's 3 a.m.(!) Can.not.stay.awake. Zzzzzzzzzz

That's an ESPN ad, not Doublemint and I have to, grudgingly, give it up to ESPN for creating it. An ad advertising tennis? That's harder to find than all those twins they have in the ad.
I cannot believe Nalbandian pulled that out. They were just starting the fifth when I had to leave for work. For someone who saw it, did Hewitt just collapse or did Nalbandian pick it up? And how much am I kicking myself for switching Nalbandian for Hewitt in my bracket?

What a great way to start the AM with Nalby dismissing Hewitt. I don't care if he's a mellowed out family guy, I'll always remember Rusty for his performance during his Blake match at the USO. Can't believe a decade has passed!
I didn't see Ivanovic but I foolishly thought she'd have a decent tournament. Same for Gulbis, good thing I didn't fill out a bracket!

I know I shouldn't, but I adore Fat Dave. Not in the "I respect you as a person and a tennis player" way. I like that he's unapologetic about being a total douche. I find him to be such a charming douche though. I can imagine getting drunk with him and laughing for hours.
Hewitt is just a bowl of dick.

I stand corrected about the ESPN not-Doublemint ad. But I'm still shocked that anyone would want to use the Douche twins to advertise anything.
Not surprised that Ivanovic ended up losing. I think it was harry who mentioned above that Ivanovic looks like she dropped some weight. I definitely agree. But unfortunately it's her head that needs to be retooled.
Safina...oh my.

I knew Dinara had lost but I hadn't looked at the score. I just did. Oh my, indeed. Did anyone watch? Did she look just awful? Did she look injured or just out of her depth? Am I just acting like an Ivanovic fan when I keep thinking Dinara can get back into a winning mode?
