And, once again, Jer, congrats to your guy.
I was able to eat dinner. That alone was a new thing for me.
I don't think there is anything wrong with Rafa--I just think he doesn't have any answer for Djokovic and gets exasperated and ends up pushing.
No Djoker 'rents, right?
So glad that CBS had repeats scheduled for tonight or we wouldn't be watching the ceremony right now.

The thing with Rafa when he plays Novak in these matches is that he looks human. We're just not used to seeing him wear down (mentally and physically).

Oh c'mon Jer, you could not have been wo----ied . not -eally? I mean Nole is the obviousl -laye- of the y. But holy fuck, I didn't see the beginning of this match, f0m about 2-5 down and omg was it all this b-utal??? Unbelievable tennis. If you take a scale f-om Fed 100 to eve-yone else eve-, I'd have to say ... I lke Nole, about 55-60%, love Nadal 80-85%, but it's flip-em when it's come's to the game. On balance I love Nadal, but I think I like Djok's game just a little bit mo-e. Only a little bit, it can change on the day, but yeah ove-all: Love Nadal, Djok has a game I enjoy mo-e. The quality of tennis noone can deny.
Oh, I'm so confused I hope y'all will take my apologies .... I fucking hate when my guy loses, but I absolutely can not deny that tennis is in good hands in te-ms of the quality of play. I don't even want to like Djok, but I have to, he is so good. And that was a ve-y g-acious speech he gave(both of them gave), and honestly, I believed eve-y wo-d of it. I think he does ca-e, and that he's been an ass in the past when he was young, entitled and wanted it so bad, but he's not any mo-e. He's g-own up. I think he's come of age, and I doubt't I'll love him, but I totally respect him.
Fucking ridiculously good tennis, just so good. I love my Fed, but if this is afte- Fed, it's not shabby. Fantastic tennis.
And so belatedly: the women. Wasn't expecting that, but Sam was always in with so much mo-e of a chance than Woz. She has offense as well as defence, she had he- own game, he- own powe-. So good fo- he-. Don't like that Se-ena made it iffy and kinda ugly, I like to like playe-s, I like to like the game. I do not like pettyness and c-abbyness even in the heat of the game. I kinda fo-give it, it is in the heat of the game, but I don't love it one bit. Glad they assessed it co--ectly as a mino- penalty, cause yeah she was/is spoiled, but it wasn't all that bit of a fucking deal. Ump made the -ight call by the -ules, absolutely, but the -ule is w-ong and oughtha have some wiggle room. A hind-ance, but not done intentionally o- with malice should be called diffe-ently f-om bad spo-tsmanship on pu-pose. Not that she wasn't a b-at, she was. Both she and the -ule we-e w-ong. And on balance: no you fucked up, no excuse fo- acting like a child. IMO.
And back again men's game is so good now! "Big 4" yes, but top 3 a good distance above Mu--ay. So--y Andy, it's just the t-uth. My lovely Fed is co--ectly #3, but 1 and 2? Definitely Djok on the y, not even close, but in a given match/game omg ... these guys!

Well put, acre.
Aw, so cute. I missed seeing her this year. Does she look older? Different style of glasses? New hairdo?

She looks exactly the same--that young lady does not age even a little bit. Love her. Oh, at one match we saw a ballboy who was easily 65 years old. Very impressive. I never did see the girl with one leg live at a match and only saw her on TV when the commentators pointed her out.

I missed the whole thing - I work during those hours and we were really busy - I suspect one of my co-workers took a day off to watch - but anyway I'm glad it was a good match. Congrats to Novak on the win.
Aww same to you and everyone acre.
Of course we still have the WTF. Am I the only one who wishes they'd change that from the round robin to a knockout tournament? Not to re-awaken the controversy, but I always feel cheated if someone wins it having lost a match.

Damn, it annoys me that all the media a-e about Se-ena and not Sam, and I did it myself! She played awesome, was dominant the whole match, absolutely took it to Se-ena. I'm imp-essed. As I said, she's always had powe- and offense, but she totally owned and ha-nessed it. And it's fun to have all these new diffe-ent Slam champs, no?
I will be into the WTF when the time comes, definitely. It just feels a little distant at the moment. I'm mixed about the fo-mat. Sometimes they a-e so evenly matched that it doesn't seem quite -ight to be knockout: I mean, the-e a-e times when nobody wins all the matches, -ight? I think? Both finalists with a loss going in. I do like it when someone* wins them all, but I see the appeal of best-of-3, etc. *Someone, I'm so funny. I don't mean someone, I mean Fed. Well, except it was fantastic when Davy won, at this point you know he's neve- gonna win a Slam, so that was a nifty consolation p-ize fo- an excellent "almost-not-quite" playe-.
