Heee, I do the same thing. I get made fun of all the time about how I'll peek ahead in a book and if it's a book someone else has read I'll always ask what happens (meanwhile, I hate TV spoilers--go figure).
This match is so intense! Such quality in the first set and it lasted as long as the woman's final. Not that the woman's final wasn't brilliant in its own way--Kvitova was just so good. Harry, I agree with you about the Lindsay. They mentioned that after the match was over yesterday and I hadn't even thought of that until then.
This Wimbledon has been all about line judges and chair umps for me: my favorite line person (yes, I have one) is now a chair ump and he got to do the women's doubles final yesterday. One of my favorite chair umps now looks to be an agent--and he's Feli's.
Oh, and speaking of doubles--so excited I get to watch Max in the mixed finals after this match. And congrats to the CAN/USA team yesterday--I didn't get to see too much of it (I was watching Max's semi and then I had to leave the hotel) but I am beyond thrilled for them. First for winning in their first event together (first team to win the title since Max and Lleyton won the 2000 US Open) and second for beating the Bryans.

I must say, win or lose, this is a match to watch--holy my goodness. But I'm definitely up for some begging.
Fifth set, PLEEEAAASEEEE fifth set. (there, begging)
FIFTH SET!!!!!!!!!!!!
(meanwhile, I really should wash my face and brush my teeth--I kept waiting for a down period of the match but that just hasn't happened.)

I'm completely stumped by this match. It feels like Djoker is in control . . . except maybe not?

Fifth Set! I've only been watching from time to time but when I tuned in with the long commercial break I was afraid Roger had lost. He still has a chance!

They said earlier that Jelena was staying in the house they rented in Wimbledon and that she'd come to grounds as it looked liked Nole would be winning. I wonder what she decided to do--if I was pregnant and my guy was one of the two I would stay far away from watching this (unless my OB came to England with me).
DAMN! That was insane. I, obviously, really wanted Roger to win but that was one hell of a match. I do wish Novak had played as spotty as he had the rest of the tournament though.

Well, nobody can say he didn't fight for this title. They both did, and it clearly meant a lot to him. Very nice match, and a great win for him.

I'm sad for Roger, but on the other hand I'm happy for Novak, he needed this win. I'm hoping Roger takes this form into the hard court season and makes a great showing in New York.

I'm really bummed for Roger but damn, that was some fine tennis. Whew!
Nole has never been my favorite but he brought his A game and worked it. Gotta give him props.
Yes, Roger lost but he showed us that the champion is still in him. Lookout USO.

Nooooo!
Ah well, it was a hotly contested match, so while I would've preferred the alternative result, I'm not crazy disappointed.

Roger was such an adult about it all. I liked what they said about Edberg being really surprised that when he first came on the team and Roger lost a match his team went and celebrated a good tournament (I have no idea what tournament that was). So healthy.
Novak came in to the ESPN booth and totally surprised Chris Mc, Darren and Brad--it was a really nice moment. Problem was, ESPN was less than 5 minutes from going off the air and Nole was in the mood to chat. They had to shut him down after only a couple of minutes which I bet they regretted.
Not a good day for me--Max and Chan lost their mixed match. Stosur and Zimonjic were just too dominant and even though Chan played well, she couldn't stand the barrage of every point coming directly at her. Watching her play this tournament I'm going to call another good player under Max's early tutelage (like Vika). She gained in confidence every match.
One of the local markets here sells Sugarpova so, in honor of Wimbledon, I bought the "Splashy" gummies. I have to say, not as sweet as regular gummy candy so I like that. Little harder of a chew though.

I believe it was his US Open loss to Robredo.
I was really pulling for Roger today. When he was down 5-2 in the 4th I figured it was done and was happily surprised when he pulled out the set. They both fought really hard out there. Roger's game didn't really seem on but he is so crafty with his point construction that he almost came through with the win. I wish the women's match had been a little more like that.
Thrilled for Pospisil. He's had a crappy year so this is a really nice highlight for him...plus I'm Canadian. All in all it was a pretty good Wimbledon for Canada.
