(Yanno, once you type 'Olympics' a few times, the word begins to look really strange..)
Roll on Friday!

Thanks, Admin!! Can't wait.
So what's your favorite, everyone, or anyone interested? I'm all about the track and field, gymnastics (but not 'rhythmic'), equestrian, fencing. Oh, and do they play tennis, too?

I like the track and field, though I hate reading about the scandals - like the American relay runner who just admitted to taking a banned substance in Athens (thus causing team mate Michael Johnson to lose a gold medal).
The gymnastics don't do so much for me. Those girls are way too young to be dealing with all that pressure. Too bad they don't seem to have a minimum age as they do in tennis now.
I don't think I've ever seen the Olympic tennis live: Seoul and Sydney were in the middle of the night for me, and I was traveling during the Athens games without much cable access. If I figure out what channel to record, I imagine it will be DVR time for me this time, with yet another major time difference.

roesha there are age limits in gymnastics.
For the current Olympic cycle, in order to compete in the 2008 Olympics, a gymnast must have a birthdate before January 1, 1993. There is no maximum age restriction.
That changed a few years ago. The same with figure skating now having a minimum age limit.
I'm excited about everything BUT the track and field. I've just never been into the running.
I like all the gymnastics (that comes from having been involved in it for 14 years with my niece, who is not very good, but loves it). I love the diving and swimming when it's not Michael Phelps. The equestrian, the archery, the shooting, oh oh, I love the rowing. I am an absolute sports addict.
For prettiness though, I'm all about the men's water polo.
