I thought the stars had aligned for me, lt - alas.
I'm trying to be sympathetic to your early morning stories everyone, especially in light of my "morning off" from the two ittybitties was surprisingly only after getting them dressed (for the bike ride) @ 5am.
I was trying to think of analogies for NBC in my foggy anger that didn't involve ex-husbands!

If anyone feels like dashing off an email, the address is nbcsports@nbcuni.com
Complain away.
ETA: I always say "RafaNadal" in that incredibly speedy way! It's almost like he's embarrassed to say his own name aloud and tries to get past it as fast as he can.

TSN hasn't left the Federer/Wawrinka match. It's a pretty good match but I wish they'd show a bit of the Cilic/Soderling match.

I wish I could see Cilic/Soderling as well. I like Cilic, but I want the Sod to win. I adore his smirking, evil aura. Just kidding. Actually I don't think he's an asshole at all (those issues with Nadal were totally not one-sided, IMO) but I do like the smirk. Then again, I can be an evil bitch myself.
Normally I would enjoy the chance to watch some doubles, but not with interesting singles matches going on at the same time.

I went to NBC to complain yesterday but you couldn't give feedback without getting "surveys" and that, I do not want. Thanks for the e-mail address, apocalipstick, I'm going to craft one right now.

. . . and this doubles match is a boring one. Just because they're big names don't make them interesting to watch.
I cannot decide who I want to win with Soderling/Cilic. I like them both, I like both of their games. . . it's a conundrum!

I didn't mind Sod until he made fun of Rafa at Wimby. I get really annoyed when a player makes fun of another player on court for all to see. I didn't mind Jankovic either until a couple of weeks ago when she imitated Ivanovic on court.
Needless to say, I'm pulling for Cilic.

Does anyone understand why K Swiss' new ad campaign is trumpeting that they're designed in California? Does that matter?
eta: heh, oopsey: Morianu just gave away that Venus isn't in singles anymore.

We'll have to agree to disagree about the Wimbledon thing, breezy. It was definitely assholery on Sod's part, though I didn't think it was entirely unprovoked. But Sod is going to hell for that? Nadal's cosmology baffles me. I guess they're both half-wits overall. But I do like Sod's game better.

Really? With seven minutes of coverage time left TTC is going to do a Lacoste fluff piece? Save it for French Open Today!

For what it is worth- it sounds like things have thawed between Rafa and Sod a bit. Rafa remarked in a Spanish interview that Sod says hi more often in the locker room...lol.
Nadal is an athiest so his whole talking about where Sod was going to end up made me laugh.

Actually I'm glad to hear that, chesty. I'm a sarcastic bitch, but overall I prefer that people get along and not be unpleasant. So that's cool.

I do agree that Rafa was acting like an idiot as well. Sod wasn't really wrong for striking back. It was just the manner in which he did it - the underwear pull. If he had done anything but make fun of a Rafa mannerism I wouldn't have had a problem. That kind of thing just drives me nuts. Also when I read the recent article about him in Duece and Magnus Norman talks about how you have to watch Sod carefully to decide when to approach him and be friendly I just thought anyone who takes that much work just to talk to isn't worth it to me. Not that I'm in any danger of striking up a conversation with him in the near future.

So NBC is showing all taped coverage while preventing Direct TV coverage of the three live matches remaining. Ugh...
tiki yeah....it does seem like overall a lot of the men are at least pleasant to one another or at least not hostile. The last playes that I can recall who were really hostile to each other were Gaudio and Coria....complete with fisticuffs in the locker room.
I don't think Sod is a bad dude- he just does not care about friendly in the locker room. Monaco once remarked how some of the Argie players felt Sod was very cold. But he seems like a warm guy off the court and outside of the locker room. And it does seem like he is starting to not be so islolated in the sport.
The WTA on the other hand- full of antagonism and bitchery.

Hee. But also, seriously. We should all be glad we don't know these people in real life. They're probably mostly insufferable egotists.
And now...NBC, really? Henin/Sharapova? Like we all don't know how it ends? For fuck's sake. Also, Ted Robinson's eyes remind me of people who took too much Ecstasy in college.
