Yeah, but I'm going to have to root for Tipsy because, he looks better shirtless but more importantly he keeps his assholeyness off of the court where I'm generally not obligated to watch. As long as I don't read his interviews I have no problem with him.

Sigh, I think maybe I hate Roddick on-court and Tipsy off-court. And they're both REALLY awful, too, though I'll give Tipsy the edge on being worse.
That being the case, I think it's time for me to go to bed.

Yeah, I think I'm done too. I pretty much don't care about either of them. The way I'm feeling right now, the most satisfying result would be for whoever wins to get knocked out in the next round.

I think being an asshole in the heat of competition is slightly more excusable than being an asshole in your regular life. So I agree that Tipsy is worse. I'm giving up on this match as well.

After one of his little rants, she would pull his ass off the court by the ear. By the time she'd finish with him, he would think twice before he'd EVER berate another chair umpire. |

Player of the match: The second footfault calling linesperson. He basically dared Roddick to bring that shit to him. (At least in the 3rd and early 4th set. I couldn't stomach any more.)

I believe the winner in all this is Monfils - doesn't he get to play Tipsy now instead of Roddick?
I saw a little video of Gael's match today and he does look good.

I can't remember my password so I've been reading but not posting but wanted to say thanks for the first hand report LT and to everyone else for the general amusement!
I'm so glad that I didn't get around to completing my brackets b/c I thought Vika and Berdych would win!

I was so caught up last night in the Roddick/Tipsy drama that I forgot to comment on one of the most exciting matches of the day. Llodra d. Berdych and man, did he ever. Watching Llodra play like that is, for me really exciting. Only down side? It makes me miss Santoro.

Watching Llodra play like that is, for me really exciting. Only down side? It makes me miss Santoro. I was in person for the Llodra/Berdych match. I love serve and volley tennis and, even better, how uncomfortable that style made Berdych. Berdych's serve was off but you'll notice it's not as if he had a lot of unforced errors, either. I left before the Roddick match started but people had not very nice things to say about Tipsy from his first round singles and doubles matches. I suppose I was fortunate to catch his shirtless practice session on Saturday, when I couldn't hear a word he said. |

I would have been rooting for Monfils anyway, but let's hope he plays a good match against Tipsy. I'm already tired of thinking about last night. Have there been any Momo sightings? Is she actively coaching Llodra? Kuznetsova said on twitter that Amelie was arriving in NYC before the start of the tournament. |

Some woman has her shoes off at the Grandstand behind Capra's chair, ewww. I don't get how people can take their shoes off like that at tennis matches. Saw it so often at Cincy this year too.
Andy is such a dick on court.
Bea Capra is playing pretty good right now in the wind. I like her much better than Oudin.

ETA: to me they're both assholes on- and off-court (tiki reminded me about Roddick's tweets of how ALL the locker room was envious of his new trophy bride [my words, but still])...
