What's up with Del Po? One huge drawback with him is that he seems to tire so easily. Same with Isner. These big men just can't seem to get their energy up enough for five sets. Being so large they use a lot energy than most, but you'd think they'd figure something out.
Anyone watch Lance Armstrong with Oprah? That man is something else.

And I just want to add that I love Roger's pink shoelaces and the pink on his shirt. He's looking mighty fine. I'm glad he's not wearing yellow.

I don't think Delpo is tired physically. Either he has a physical issue or there's something on his mind other than the match.

Frickn TSN is switching coverage from one channel to another with no warning - the online guide is not helping at all. Not sure how I'm going to pvr the Tomic/Roger match.

Thanks SkyzI'll go with that instead of the program guide!
Though since it's Friday, I'll stay up a bit later!

And thanks again! Oy. I would like to see the Raonic match, so guess I'll flip back and forth for now.
ETA: although CBC says that match takes place on Sunday.
... what can I eat...

I can't watch any of it but from what I've read all I can come up with is: sociopath. And talk about someone who firmly believes the world revolves solely around themselves. The whole thing makes me so angry for all sports because who's going to fully trust a "never tested positive" argument for an athlete? Anyone who wants to believe that all athletes cheat (I don't) is just going to say "Lance Armstrong" and what's the argument against that?

Bingo. Terrifying. I've often wondered if Tiger Woods has some of that quality too. (And I used to be a big fan of his. Tiger's, not Armstrong's.)
I always love it when high achieving people, who clearly have tremendous drive and big egos, can still be lovely people too. I think that's one of the reasons we've been so lucky in tennis with Roger and Rafa, because I think they fall into that category.
Whoa, Chardy is serving for the match!
ETA: Chardy just won. What a shock.
And on a sartorial note: Chardy's Lacoste shirt fits him beautifully. Delpo's shirt fits well too. (Take note, Mardy Fish and John Isner!)

Does anyone know what the deal is with the evening matches in the US? My Tivo doesn't list the 3AM show as "new" just the 7AM show. I can record both but not sure I have room...and yesterday the AM Tennis channel rerun wouldn't show the main courts...confused.

You're both right. Lance really seems like a sociopath. He thought he'd never be caught out and had to come back one last time to try and get away with it. His ego is massive and he's a great actor, I didn't believe him at all in that interview. Not even when he attempted to cry over his son defending him and having to tell his son that he was a cheater. I'm sure he and Tiger have that in common, that bigger than God complex, and the money to hide their dirt.
I really want Del Po to make a full come back but there always seems to be something bothering him.
Anyone watching the Sloane/Robson?

roseha I know that the ESPN2 3am-7am is new. Tennis Channel at 7am is a repeat of the day before.

Although they often cover matches that ESPN2 didn't.
Also, roseha, if you can stand to watch in regular def, regular def recordings on DVR take up much less space than HD. That's what I do when the majors come around and I want to record 7-hour long programs.
Not sure whom I'm rooting for between Stephens-Robson. They're both adorable.

Thanks much harry and skyz. Of course, you're right harry, I had a "D'oh" moment just now, I remember that I've had to record the later rounds of the AO at night in Standard Def just to be sure I'd have everything. Maybe I will go back and tell Tivo not to delete before I go to bed!
