Congrats to Sabine! After all emotional exchanges at net, that was most brief. Am I reading too much into it or is there bad blood? Know Sabine and Caro to quote Sloan aren't BFF but didn't know these two were frosty. lol

Another great win for Lisicki!
I'm so bummed for Aga though. She had a real chance to take that last step.

I was wondering the same thing--I don't know if Aga was just so disappointed that she wanted to race away from the court or if the two just aren't friendly.
Ohhhh, falafaclese, they are going to air some of the Fer/Andy match next if you want to watch a little of it. Speaking of, I went to wimbledon.org to see the Verdasco post-match but his is the only one not listed. Anyone know why?

From what I've gathered, it's all about Aga being disappointed. She was two points away from winning this, so quite understandably upset.

This match is something else. I think Delpo might be the nicest guy on the tour but his game has never been my thing. However, I'm loving how he's playing this match and I no longer have a rooting interest. Go both of them!
I'm kind of surprised that the crowd is rooting for more tennis--I would think they are about ready to see their Andy but I think the quality of the play is just too enjoyable for them to want it to be over.

I'm following on Wimbledon Radio and it's giving me a good feel for the match. Kind of rooting for Delpo at this point.

There's two things about that crowd: (1) the tennis is unbelievable (2) the longer they're on the court, the better Andy's (or Jerzy's) chances in the final (cuz that SF is not going to have many long points).
About Delpo: while his game is not, in general, my thing, when he's on, he's electrifying.
Andy's match against Verdasco was the only two sets to none comeback of this Wimbledon? There certainly haven't been many five setters.

Man, I'm going to feel sorry for the guy who loses this match but, that said, I want the winner to win with 6 games in this fifth set--I'm pretty ready for the next match.
Oh no, it means too much to both of them--everybody win!

That was an amazing display. I do agree that Delpo played his best match ever... which says something given the Federer final.

Aww, DelPo has a bad knee too, that was a hell of a match. Would've loved to see DelPo win, even though I'm crazy about Djok's game. DelPo also has a fabulous game when on, and he's just the nicest, and you know he wouldn't have been intimidated in the final. Nothing intimidates him, with good reason. Normal nerves of course, but anyone who could pull off that 09 US Open win is not about to wilt under pressure.
Well, assuming it's Andy he and Djok can put on some scintillating tennis, too. Not in love with either guy, but I don't dislike them, and I expect to be highly entertained by the match. Don't know who I'd want to win. It would be Djok definitely, except for that whole "No Brit since blahblahblah" that I am so goddamn sick of. And I don't mind seeing Andy win just for his own self, but the main benefit there would be just maybe one more year of listening to that shtick.
Eh, who am I kidding, will the commentators ever let it go, win or lose? Doubtful.
Women: Well now I have to go look up the Fibonacci sequence, heh. I've heard of it, have a vague idea, but that little quiz they gave Bartoli brought it up.

acre - I will tell you that I know waaaay too much about the Fibonacci sequence so Marion's reaction to the question made me smile.
Did anyone seriously think this was gonna be a three-setter? That said, it looks a lot better now than five minutes ago.

Unlike the last match where I was all "oooohh, good tennis" this one is way too stressful for me--I really (really) don't want Janowicz in the final and I really (really) want Andy there.
eta: I agree with Mike and Darren--Janowicz is obsessing over the roof closing because he knows his serve is going to get that much bigger indoors. So for me, keep that roof open.
eta: oh man, did you see that look they shot each other after Andy broke in the third to get back on serve? They are not friendly.

Agree on Mission: Keep Roof Open... which means Andy has to finish this set quickly so it stays an issue in JJ's head.

Um, Jerzy? These fans have been very fair to you but if they see bad sportsmanship they are going to turn in a hurry so no hitting the net with your racquet.
eta: too bad a shot doesn't count if it hits you and still goes over the net. . .
Uh oh, closing-roof guy has come out. Oh man, I'm so glad ESPN is not going to a commercial so we can see this. First, Andy nearly has a heart attack when he comes up to him and now we get to hear Andy's argument about why the roof should stay open. Fascinating. It also sucks because, unlike with baseball, you can't play while the roof is closing so this will be about a 30-minute break if they do close it. DAMN! They're closing it! I'm glad Lendl leapt to his feet. He'll give Andy some good tips.

Would they really stop play at 11 p.m.?
Murray's petulance is out in full force. It's not whether I think he's right or wrong. He's just always so pissy and childish.
