I'm in and torn between what I think will happen and what I want to happen...

Well, I don't have Youzhny in the final but I, too, had to pick Safin over Beaker. I'm nuts. Looking at my picks it would be the craziest Wimbledon in history (up until the final where I do have Federer and Rafa) for me to do well. For some strange reason I have Roddick doing well. I have no idea why.

I've got Roddick doing well too! Just a gut feeling I guess? I tried to be somewhat realistic in my picks and somewhat pick the players I want to win. I never do well with pick 'ems anyway; it doesn't seem to matter what methodology I use to pick my winners or what sport I'm picking in.

Woo hoo - I'm in! Well, the men's draw anyway - I still have to fill out the women's (it's somewhat exhausting picking a 128 draw - I feel like I have to rest and replenish).
Anyway, my quarterfinals are: Fed vs. Ancic, Djoko vs. Baghdatis, Roddick vs. Mathieu, and Murray (god knows why) vs. Nadal. (I had a lot of trouble with the Murray/Gasquet section, as I suspect a lot of people did).
Heh. The eternal struggle. I always pick what I think, and pick against my faves whenever necessary. That way I can feel good even if I get my bracket pick wrong, 'cause that means my preferred player (in my heart) actually won. I'm twisted that way...

I went through the brackets on both men's and ladies', only to keep getting the Error page after I enter in my name. I submitted an email to support but I suspect there's not enough time for this to be resolved.

Phew, got my ladies pick in, just in time. I hope not to be winning it this time though, i've got Shrieky in to take it all.

I tried three different times last night and got the error message (so frustrating!), which I suspect was due to the server being overwhelmed with last-minute entries. Apparently, there are fewer last-last minute entries, if my theory is correct, as I just got through no problem. And you wanna talk crazy, people? I've got JJ taking it all, beating BOTH Williams sisters along the way. Wheeeeee!

My first heart vs. picks match is the Mosquito vs. Querrey. Knowing Ferrero hasn't been doing too well lately I chose Querrey (if he's going to do well somewhere it should be Wimbledon) but I'd rather JC won. I also had Soderling winning but he's being such an ass I'll be happy if he loses.
I never did get around to the Women's side but it would have been all guesses anyway.

wow so far my men's picks are way ahead of my women's picks. Since I really don't care much who wins the women's that surprises me a little.

I found something amusing floating in the main men's pool: if you click on the statistics for how many people picked certain players for the finals, champion, etc... there are 11 people who picked Ilia Bozoljac for their finalist, and 4 who picked Bozo as champion. This struck me as odd, until it came to me that this is the lucky loser who replaced Gael Monfils in the main draw.

After day one, wrongami leads both brackets. Wrongami also won the French Open men's bracket, so I think it's obvious that we've discovered the match fixer in tennis who's paying players to throw matches. Either that, or someone has psychic powers. I'm not sure which is more likely.

Ack! I've been found out! I thought my "wrong-am-i" username smokescreen would be enough for me to stay undercover.
But since I've been Plamed, I might as well confess: I do have psychic abilities, but not in the way you'd think. My clairvoyance is limited to only being able to predict who will accept match-fixing bribes for the least amount of money. (And you wouldn't believe how much Nuria Llagostera Vives charges to lose a first round match!!)
Unfortunately, I don't have enough money to influence anything further than the first rounds, so I'm sure my glory will be short-lived...

Heh, tiki! We'll see how long THAT lasts... Seriously, though, I think I'm the only one in our women's pool to pick Jankovic to win. So if JJ pulls it out, then MAYBE you all are in trouble. Otherwise, I have a 16-out-of-17 shot of going back to being wrong before ya know it!

OK, I'm not sure I should admit this, but I thought wrongami's name was a play on origami. I had no idea it was wrong-am-i. Now I'm thinking that tiki-girl is really tik-i-girl (like maybe she has ticks?)
