Well, this ended up being a big bust for me.  I was leading the women's bracket until the third round or so, and then it all just went horribly wrong. I had Wozniacki as my winner because I like her, more or less, and if I'd known I was going to do well elsewhere I wouldn't have gone all emotional when it came to her. As it stands, I can't gain any more points, because my semifinals were Safina/Wozniacki and Serena/Ana, with Ana winning that one, so I'm done. As for the mens....hahahahahaha! |

The women's bracket now has what-if scenarios covering all possible outcomes from the semifinals. Admin/Wrinklestiltskin, johnnyfive, oopssorry, wrongami, and tikigirl all still have a chance to win. An Williams final would narrow it down to oopssorry and tikigirl. You guys/gals are good how does anyone put Jie Zhang in their pool? The Serbs and Lindsey did me in on the WTA side (91), I even had Ana beating Serena, oops. And all the Americans in the ATP pool(3129) did not help my cause. |

Hey, I finally looked at my ATP one - and I had the top half almost perfect for the R16 - I just had Baggy over Feli.
As for the bottom half??? I apparently have never watched tennis - like ever.

I had Roger and Marat getting to the semis but the bottom half of mine is way off too. As for the women, I have Venus and Serena going to the final, but many errors along the way |

I apparently tried really, really hard to come in last on the men's side. It's still possible, too.
On the women's -- here we go, oops. May the best Williams win. And one of us is gonna owe the other a martini next time I'm in Chicago!

I can't believe that I won the women's bracket -- that will never happen again. But I am in last place in the men's, and if Roger can't pull this off, I'll remain there. It balances things out!

The final results: tikigirl wins the women's bracket and admin/Wrinkle takes the men's. Admin also won at the French, so I guess she's the Nadal of bracket challenges.

Wow.. i thought i sucked the big one. I shall have go inspect my picks, i guess picking Nadal saved my bacon as far as my other lame picks in the other quarters.

Thanks, lt. It was total freak chance that allowed me to win the women's bracket (see: my men's picks), but I'm excited because it might never happen again!

Reporting back as the one who never got in.
Women's bracket would have been a bust as I had a Ivanovic/Safina rematch, with the Williams sisters out by the quarters.
The men's I might have had a legitimate shot - I had Nadal beating Federer in the final, plus Murray and Ancic's QF runs, Feliciano advancing far and Djok, Ferrer, Nalby and Davydenko out by Round of 16 or earlier. Some of the lesser first round matches I can't remember but I figure I would have been close.

Damn, I'm only 2/7 so far in the Toronto bracket. I tried to be more risky and pick some upsets, but I was wrong, wrong, wrong. |
