Aw, thanks for posting that, falafaclese. They just might be the cutest family on earth.
Very happy for Safarova. She seems like a great person.
Also, does anyone think either Stan or JWT would have a chance against Djoker? (I'm assuming Murray still isn't up to dealing with Djokovic yet.) A Stan or JWT win would make me very, very, very happy.

Congrats to Li Na and family! They look so happy.
I am listening to the FO semis over TuneIn radio, hope Jo is turning this around - not really rooting against Stan but I would love to see Jo in the final. I'd actually love for Jo to win, though Novak obviously is playing great so it would be tough. Still it would make for an exciting final.

OMG, Stan!!!!!!!!!!!!
Were you guys watching? I couldn't watch most of it I was so nervous. It sounds as though McEnroe is disappointed. He always seems to identify with/"root" for a player in a match he's calling and see it from their point-of-view.
I'm so psyched.

I can't come on until I'm caught up with the tennis... But OMG that was GREAT. Both players were awesome and just the weight and accuracy of Stan's shots were just CRAZY.

Well, Stan the MAN! No I wasn't watching, I got rid of cable a while ago .. but this is exciting! I know he said he played the best match of his life against Fed, guess that was not a fluke. Gee, no Nadal, no Fed and even no Djok! Times they are a-changing. Though I fully expect Djok to keep dominating, but hey, there's a new kid in town. Oz wasn't a one-off. Thrilled for him.

Acre, NBC still has the French final...sorry, next year! (Believe me I'm confused too, between, ESPN2, Tennis channel and NBC...)
I had to leave right after Stan went ahead in the match but I have it recorded and will be sure to watch the end. I was sad when Roger lost, but so happy Stan was able to win the final - I don't think he got the credit he deserved for winning Australia but this one won't be denied him. Can't wait to see how it ended!
If you follow twitter you can see a fun congratulations from Roger to Stan - he was watching the final on his phone while at a Swiss soccer match.

The amazing thing was that Stan convinced m pretty early on after that first set that he had it under control. By the end of the second set I was thinking "Huh! Is Stan really cooling Djoker down?" Then when he stayed strong in the first half of the third and I had to leave unexpectedly (My friends have zero respect! Emergency my ass!) I was already convinced the tide had turned, and I would have been surprised if I had come back to a Djoker turnaround. I never would have guessed at the beginning of the tournament that Stan would look that strong at the end.
Ps. Congratulations Serena! Winning with the requisite drama!
Pps. While I was admiring how ferocious Rafa's groundstrokes were starting to look, Dolgo took it. I was genuinely surprised when I realized that Dolgo had just won.

Hi, everyone -- So Wimby is upon us. Who are you all rooting for? I'm rooting for Fed (shock of shocks) and Stan and, for the ladies, Madison and Kvitova. I'm also pulling for Sock/Popsicle and Safarova/Mattek-Sands (it would be awesome for them to win the Grand Slam) in the doubles.

Hi harry!
Feds, of course (another shock, right?). I like Stan too. On the women's side, Kvitova and Halep. I don't know how much I'll actually get to watch, at least till Friday. I hope some of our peeps show up here!

Tiki! Long time no, uh ... type?
Wow, Venus smoked poor Brengle. It would be so great for her to make a deep run. I wonder if she would be at all conflicted about possibly stopping Serena's slam chances? But how would Serena feel about this possibly being one of Venus's last chances at a slam title? Ugh, I hate it when they have to play each other. There just never seems to be a good outcome to root for.
Sorry to see Kokkinakis is out already (I'm always on the lookout for possible threats to Threats-to-Roger and was hoping Kokkinakis might be able to threaten Djoker), and in a meek-looking three sets. Surprised to see Suarez out quite so soon. I know grass isn't her surface, but she's been so good this year. Glad to see Haas and Thiem win (I think Thiem seems like a sweetie and I love me a one-handed backhand).
Poor Pironkova. Wimby is her big event of the year and she has to play an in-form Bencic in the first round.
Matches I'm hoping are on the DVR at home to watch later: Stevens-Strycova (great win for Sloane) and Nishikori-Bolelli.
It's so weird that Ferrer isn't playing.
And, going back to RG for a moment, I had the same odd confidence in Stan, falafaclese. Once it was clear that he started off the final playing well, I thought he might really have a chance, especially since the psychology of the situation was a bit brutal for Djokovic - kind of like when Fed played Soderling in the final. But Stan is better than Soderling and has actually won big events now.

Hi all I am watching Harry, and welcome back Tiki! I caved and have re-subscribed to ESPN so will be sure to check out the Watch ESPN on my Roku tomorrow to see how I can watch the different matches. I would love to see Roger win again also, surprise, and it would be great for Venus to make a run to the title though Sloane or Madison winning would also be very exciting. I wonder how much trouble Novak would have had with Hewitt? Well it's a moot point but the end of that match with Nieminen was certainly exciting. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Hey it's Wimbledon, the fount of my tennis fandom! Too bad I have no cable, huh? If anyone has non-ESPN feeds, please share? I'd check them out happily, as scheduling allows.
Haha, who could I possibly be rooting for? It's a mystery it is. But there are many non-Fed guys I could be happy to see win. Not Djok or Andy: I'd actually be fine with them, but ho-hum, NBD, next!
I'd so much love to see Haas go another round or two, but I'm pleased he even won the 1st.
Women: no strong feelings. Serena, Kvitova, Shara, etc as likely, fine by me. Venus - awesome! (Not holding my breath) Assorted others? Hey, lookit that, cool by me.
I'd like to watch some, but not enough to mess with my tv sub. Are the finals available or just ESPN? I feel like they must be on NBC, but know I could be wrong. I's be delighted to experience Breakfast at Wimbledon, LIVE ... like it was the 80's again.

I forgot about Stephens; thanks, roseha! She's fun to watch. A Venus win would be nice too, though I don't see it happening. What do you guys think of the Djokovic " cheating" story? I can't stand him, but the whole thing is ridiculous, and all because Boris Becker told some stupid "communicating from the box" story. Becker seems like a giant, egotistical asshole. Anyone know what's wrong with Bouchard? I think princess must have been sleeping on a pea the last few months. Finally: "like it was the 80s again." Ah, time's an inexorable bitch, isn't she, acre? (waves to harry)

Oh, so Bouchard did lose! Will have to see the end later on Watch ESPN...so spoiled I know but it's hard for me to watch and go on the computer at the same time.. tiki, honestly Becker has annoyed me for so many years and now trying to start something saying Roger doesn't like Djokovic (separate story) - I loved it when Roger dismissed it with "He used to be my idol" Ha ha.. Hey, acre I found this for you, it's ABC now with the OTA (over the air) coverage: On the “middle Sunday,” July 5 – Wimbledon’s traditional annual day of rest – ABC will broadcast a three-hour review of the first week at 3 p.m. ABC will also present encore presentations of the finals on the day they take place, July 11 and 12, at 3 p.m.
