Well that was hard. I guess it wasn't meant to be. Sorry Roger. Glad that he wants to keep playing though.

Still feeling sad about Roger. It's not as bad as Wimbledon for some reason, though.
On a happier note, did you guys see the championship point for the men's doubles final? It was wonderful: It's one of the best I've ever seen.
I'm so happy for Mahut. I became a minor fan of his after the Isner marathon and have heard he's supposedly a really nice guy.

I don't know if anyone is checking in here post USOpen, but I was curious what you guys thoughts of Bouchard's lawsuit about her fall in the locker room at the Open. I've read some commentary about it that is very critical of her for bringing the suit, but I honestly don't know if I have an opinion. What do you guys think?

It's hard to know what's going on with that complaint. I haven't been able to track down a copy of it, and even if i had, it wouldn't be likely to provide much insight. I will say that this: sounds like the language of someone who's hoping to settle early; otherwise, why start making pronouncements about the value of your case to the press? Plus, when you've got a client who supposedly has a serious injury and you don't know what the extent is yet, I can't imagine there'd be much benefit in rushing to file a complaint less than two months after the injury occurred.
BTW, Morelli is Bouchard's attorney.

Anyone alive? It's been forever since I've posted. Lamenting the fact that Sloane just completely busted my bracket!

I have very quickly lowered my expectations for Sloane. Not that I don't think she can do some big things (and not that I don't want her to) I just can't deal with the inconsistency. I'm on the Vika train.

Sloane played so well in Auckland that I thought she had finally gotten it together. Boy was I wrong. Vika is my second pick behind Serena. I actually think Vika is playing better, but I think Serena may be hungrier.
On the men's side, I don't see anyone beating Djokovic.
