Since we all have differing opinions, likes and dislikes, I thought we could try a Haterade thread where we can let fly, rip, insult, degrade and mock our least favorites in a No Offense Taken zone.
That way we can keep some of the personal feelings out of the regular threads.

I'll go first.
Kee-riced! Has there every been a worse World No 1 than Ana Ivanovic? I keep expecting her to lose a baby tooth. She needs to either man up and fade away. I can't even watch her play without wanting to shoot her with a curare blow dart.

I second that - I did not think it was possible to dislike a number one player more than Sharapova or Jankovic but boy was I wrong. Two grand slams in a row that she flamed out in.
In fact I think Ivanovic and Jankovic are my least favorite players on the womens side right. I make it a point to avoid their matches.

It may be surprising that I am posting here since I am always defending my fave (Rafa).
But oh my goodness- I can't stand Mardy Fish. His Frenchie baiting...I mean- come on. Why does he have such a problem with French players. I could forgive the socks if you did not always act like a jackass when you have French opponents.
Tursunov- never have I switched so quickly on a player. It is not just his pissiness on court. It is the fact that he mocked a female tennis journalist that I know personally because - while cute- is not model perfect. They way he did it was ugly. She does not work for one of the major news outlets so he may not have known that she was a journalist when he did it. And I have heard stories of him being skeevy with women. I don't think he respects women.

JMac. As a player - in his heyday and now. And as a commentator even more.
The emotional stability of an eight-year-old. Whose parents are absent and placate him with purchases.
There have been brief lapses in which I have tried to come to like him, but it's futile.
Hate to the point of bringing me to (very rare) swearing.

I didn't realize how much I agreed until I looked through the draw and saw that Davydenko meets Tursunov tomorrow and I immediately thought--"hope Davydenko wins." I like Davydenko, always have, but his game doesn't thrill me so wanting him to him was a bit of surprise. I don't have any experience with Tursunov--he just seems to be the guy who thinks he's the cat's meow (kinda like Beaker--another guy I didn't dislike when he came on the tour and now I do). Meanwhile, still love Haas and Safin and Lopez and the rest of the head cases. . . to say I'm a flip-flopper would be an understatement.

I don't know if I'd call it "hate," but this is the first time in my entire tennis-watching experience I have not been interested in any of the top American men. I just they are all way over-rated. And their personalities.. they aren't very charismatic to me. I cannot stand Blake and his JBlock or Andy Roddick in particular. It just appears their egos are a bit too much!
Now, I really liked that Young guy, but he lost. I liked the fact he was more understated, actually.

I agree about the American men, especially Roddick and Blake. I was a fan earlier in their careers when they lost to super-asshole Hewitt at the US Open. But Roddick turned out to be an undercover asshole and Blake acts like his shit don't stink.
Fish: very well described above Spadea: wannabe rapper Querry: blandly boring Young: nice game but overhyped
Young is probably my favorite of the American men, but he needs do to a lot more to justify the huge hype around him.

I'm feeling the same about the American men but I include Young in that. Maybe if he got away from his parents he would win a little more. The only one I like is Querry. I agree that he is bland and he is sort of homely but I like him. Probably because everyone seems to ignore him. I keep mixing him up with Ginepri though.

I though Querry was a black guy for so long. I have no idea why.
My haterade for the day is that the schedule for the day seemed so promising with upsets or at least interesting matches. But they have gone boringly otherwise.

I find myself incredibly irritated by Marion Bartoli. When she got to the Wimby final, I was charmed. Now that I actually watch her play, I just want to whap her upside the head. The awkward front leg position with the serve, the way she does that weird exaggerated bouncing thing when she bounces the ball. Not one thing about her play seems natural. All of her movement seems weird and scripted. I hate it. I can't wait for her to lose each tournament.
Admin, on the Fish/Olivia Newton-John thing, glad I could help you out. However, if watching his matches you find yourself singing "I took you to an intimate restaurant, then to a suggestive movie", don't blame me!

Does Sam Querrey have a girlfriend? I seriously can't imagine waking up next to that face every morning.
Unfortunate girl: *rolls over* Ack! How much did I have to drink last night?!? *quickly runs from the room and calls her best friend* You have to help me...I think I brought home a Gargoyle!

Worse than the Bryan Brothers? the Bryan Brothers in person with their silly belly bump celebration and the rest of it.
