I hate Andy's OCD shirt-plucking, but on the other hand, I'm glad he hasn't gone sleeveless to avoid it. ::shudder::

Double-posting is joyously hateful...
Djokovic's shirt reminds me of a bad trip. A really bad trip. Any bets on when the next injury time-out will occur? I think my eyeballs need one.

Dear Andy,
For the love of God keep that nasty hairy belly to yourself. I can't take it anymore.

I think Venus pretty much threw that quarter final. I also think i've pretty much lost the respect i had for her.

It is a massive source of rancor to me that Star Jones (aka. The Goblin Queen) has ingratiated herself with the Williams family. I wish she would just disappear.

Goblin Queen, HA HA HA! That totally made my day. Kisses to f'clese.
Per comments on the USO thread, I was thinking about how Nadal has been labelled a dirtballer and had his abilities on other courts denigrated (stupid sportswriters). I don't ever remember him complaining or getting angry...he seemed to just play his game and prove that he is a great all-surface player. Djokovic, on the other hand, practically pisses himself if anyone questions his self-perception.
And he totally tanked the last couple games of that semi. Peckerheadovic.

Yes, tiki -- and good to remind me to add my hate on the sportwriters as a whole. Parasitical sensationalists all around, I think.
The players (most) do a better job at talking about the sport and the nuances in intelligent and insightful ways anyway.

Aaaaaaaaaaand in his post-loss press conference, Djokovic feels the need to once again refer to Federer as "ex-number one." Umm, Captain Cocksmack? Better ex-number-one than never-been, know what I'm saying?

True, and did you notice PMac defending sportswriters/casters after Federer made a comment about three finals and a semi not being the bad year that everyone was saying it was?

Oooh. Missed that! Good thing, I guess. That is the kind of crap that riles me up beyond belief - and reason, maybe.

But, when I read that press conference, it seemed to me he was giving Rafa credit for having a great year. In other words, it was not as much of a slight to Roger, but more saying that Rafa earn the right to be considered the best player in the world right now? But I would imagine Rafa is like, "Don't bring me into your controversy! I'm just here to play tennis, not to stir-up shit!"

You could be right, thepolice, but I've heard Djokovic call Federer "ex-number one" too many times for it to be an accident. He could just say "world number two" or whatever, but I get the impression he's trying to get in Roger's head. We can see how well that worked from yesterday's match.

I think he's trying to get into Roger's head but the only way you can do that is to beat him consistently, like Rafa does. I do try to like Djokovic because he's very talented and I love his hugs at the net and when he applauds his opponents' great winners, but yes, he needs to watch what he says. The post-Roddick interview was ridiculous. Maybe he needs to get away from his family, too. I hate the WTA as a whole. What a useless bunch of players they are now.

I'm so happy he lost.
