Oh, Tracy. I dislike her because of her love of Mr. Passive Aggressive, James Blake. She's always rabbiting on about how classy he is. Shut up.
I don't know about her face, but her hands creep me out. They are like velociraptor claws.

Austin's face is basically what I've come to expect from women of a certain age who either live or give off a SoCal vibe. Her SIL Denise Austin (fitness guru) , Sara Lee (the food network) all have that look. It's takes a lot for me to notice plastic surgery at this point  |

HA! You know what's funny about that? During the Friday night goodbye on USA network they had her and Bill MacAtee (who is going to The Tennis Channel, btw) talking about all the matches they've done together and how she clutches his knee before every match. Now I understand the grimace he gave.
My thing about Tracy Austin is the voice and that she always seems to be paired with Ted Robinson--that is too much (forced) enthusiasm for me. I felt sorry for any women's fan having to listen to entire match of those two.
eta: I'm not saying either of them are not authentically enthusiastic but every.single.point. shouldn't earn that level of excitement.

Given all the Rafa love on the regular thread, and the gushing over his (really surprisingly large) ass, I've gotta say -- if I liked his body, I would definitely label him a butterface. I don't happen to like his body, though, and I think he's going to end up fat later in life. He'll still have that devolved Snoopy face. Really nice guy, though, and I suppose I should feel bad saying stuff like this. But -- I don't. I can't help it; I just find him physically revolting.

I actually find Rafa so endearing that I even find his face attractive but the thing about his face is--he has no philtrum (that indent between the lip and nose). It looks odd.

Today's rant is about the announcers' stupid and ultimately wildly exaggerated comments on how big some players are. Yes, Gimeldouche, Tsonga is big. But he's not hulking, for fuck's sake. And since I've heard it a million times, and no doubt screamed about it here before, I have to repeat: Nadal is NOT A LINEBACKER. Maybe compared to other tennis players, but he's an inch or two short and about sixty pounds shy of being the size of a real, live NFL linebacker. Between these comments and the constant comparison of tennis to other sports, especially baseball, I feel like many announcers are defensive. Tennis is great on its own, announcers! Don't be so fucking sensitive.

Yes, and why do they mess up the commentary making these baseball and other comparisons? Dick Enberg is one of the worst, I hear him talk about pitching and think Whaaaa?
However I like the fact that "unforced errors" seems to have naturally found its way into NBA commentary.
