Nalbandian won the Copa Peugeot Argentina de Tenis . He beat Baggy in the final, 6-4 6-4. I saw a good chunk of it and he really seems to be playing well. I hope he carries the form through to Australia.

That Fed family photo is adorable, thanks francienolan. I bet Robert took it since he's so into the hobby. The girls have grown so much already! I know Roger said he and Mirka can tell them apart but I noticed they're being dressed differently. Heh.

Here's an interesting article which includes an interview with Justine. I have read a few articles about how she's been saying that she wants to lighten up and a be a little more relaxed, happy and mature (her words, not mine) this time around. I'm interested to see how she comports herself next year. Also, the Hopman cup starts this weekend! Here's the draw and schedule.. |

Love me some Hopman Cup. Always a ritual of watching it to start off the tennis season. What a wonderful tournament. The vibe is wonderful. The male and female players are so relaxed, chat away in the mixed. It's great.
They get the players in these wonderful interviews during the tournament. During matches they show them. They players are taken out by the interviewers to fishing or water skiing or the zoo and it really shows another side to them. It is brilliant. The oncourt matches after the mixed with the winning team, the banter between the men and women, it's hillarious.
Seriously this tournament needs more coverage. It's awesome.

I'm looking forward to Henin's return. I'm so sick of the WTA headcases. She may be a headcase as well, but at least in a different way.

Mpol- I too am looking forward to the Hopman Cup. Sadly there will be no Safin with two black eyes this year but I'm sure it will be good all the same.
I watched Soderling and Wawrinka play this morning in Abu Dhabi. Odd, odd match. Soderling was up 5-1 and serving 40-0 for the first set. He then proceeded to lose pretty much every point to Stan until they were even at 5-5. It eventually went to a tie-breaker. The second set was similar. Sadly I was not up early enough to see the Ferrer/Davydenko match. Ferrer won but it took three sets.
Just to clarily - I am not in Abu Dhabi. I'm in a deep freeze in the middle of Canada.
