Is Acasuso a great clay courter? A strong victory today for Roger could bea the boost he needs.

Yes, I started watching the feed at 5-2 and Acasuso hasn't impressed at all. Fed must have been playing very badly to fall behind 4-0.
I got porn from atdhe, too, but it was straight porn and we have a very gay IT staff (including me), so I'm pretty sure they'd just laugh if I told them.

Heh, I'm afraid I work for a company that would not appreciate it (I'm actually surprised it got through our server). Ugh. frozen again.
But YEAH! for Roger! Good tiebreak for him.

Is Acasuso a great clay courter? A strong victory today for Roger could bea the boost he needs. Acasuso isn't a great anything. He's better on clay, yes, but it's not like he's played the match of his life today. I don't see how Roger Federer beating "HacKasuso" could be a strong victory at all. Should be routine. The fact that he very easily could have gone down 2 sets (and would have had a stronger player been across the net from him in the same position) can't be seen all that positively. Even by the most optimistic person. One man's optimism is another man's insanity. And I'm a fan.

It won't be a great victory, but being behind two brakes and a set is great for anyones confidence yes?
HacKasuso? Since when is the guy a hack? LOL! Love to hear how that nick name came about!

Yeah. Coming back from two breaks is a boost--no matter who the opponent is. I'm sure Murray would agree. It reminds a player that they don't have to give up on a set, no matter the scoreline, and that never hurts.
eta: And on the other courts: Christophe is quietly taking out Clement and Haas is up two sets to none. I would just love it if Tommy could get through a few matches.

The commentators said that Acasuso had 4 set points in the first set, so Fed could have easily lost in straight sets today. The only thing I can remember about Acasuso is that he beat Roddick in the first round of the French one year.

Somehow, I don't think I'm going out on a limb to think Acasuso will not be coming back from two breaks down. I don't think of him as a hack, but I do think he fades away when the going gets tough.
amarathe, I'm now on a French channel so I can no longer understand the commentators. Do you still have english? (eta: nevermind, I just found the english one)
Jose has maintained his unforced errors per set (8-10-10-11) but Roger has really brought his down--he only has 3 in the fourth set so far (17-15-10-3). (Live scores is the best--I wish it worked on my home computer.)

Acasuso is HacKasuso because a lot of the time he plays like a hack. He's talented, but given the day you may or may not see any evidence of that. Can this win give Fed confidence? Sure, especially when mixed with a little delusion as he often does (he's not the only athlete guilty of this...it's kinda necessary at times). But it should moreso give him cause for brutally honest self-evaluation, because he shouldn't have been in that situation to begin with. If the same situation happened against Djokovic: 1) He most likely wouldn't get out of it, 2) If he did get out of it in the same way, that would be something get some confidence from. If Federer somehow goes on to finally win it this year, I don't think it will have anything to do with coming back from the brink against Acasuso.

Ugh. I'd rather someone lose in 3 rather than put up a half show of defience and puss out at the vital points. Shame on you, Acasuso. Mathiau next probably and that gorgeous piece of stuff would choke at the sight of a victory against Federer, so that's not going to happen. HATE.

In honor of my Pico, I have changed my avatar. Here's the larger version if you want to look at it, make it your wallpaper, etc. ETA: And after I made him my avatar he gets broken to lose the first set. Maybe I should change it back, hmmmm..... Nope. ;D
