The one addition to that story is that the chair ump called the line judge over to see which mark they were talking about. It was a little coffee klatch.

eta: anyone out there near a TV on the east coast? What's NBC showing?

The Tennis Channel is showing matches at 4-11pm so people will get to see Roger's match eventually. Let me add to the hate for NBC. Fuck them showing this tape delayed match when live tennis is on!

And because only you guys would appreciate this -- I was writing an email to someone with whom I hope to work in the future, and accidentally hit "copy" instead of "paste." What popped up? That quote about Gonzo dragging his ass across the clay. It's a good thing I noticed! That's had me in stitches for the last minutes. I'd love to get that kind of email, hehe. Where is Federer's head? Is he really going to let the lovechild of Gumby and Lurch take the first set? This too. I think someone has slipped something into my water. I can't stop giggling at the two photos. Or maybe hysteria at Jerkerling being in a slam final. Oh dear. The ump came down to take a look but didn't agree. After the ump went back to his chair, Gonzo sat on the mark/line and rubbed it out by dragging his butt back and forth over it. That's just so bizarre. I can't wait to see it. I hope there's a suitable photo of it taken. I might make it my next avatar. |

I cannot BELIEVE I lost the stream right then. Phew to getting to 5-5.
You know, I know JMdP is a good guy and all but I am just not a fan of the big server. It is such a boring game to me. I like him lots more when the serve isn't going in so big for him and he has to rely on his other skills--then he's more interesting.
I also really wish the stream wasn't having so much trouble. This is going to be too much for me.
