I'm having serious problems liking Ana I. It's not that I dislike her. She just bores me. I read somewhere that someone was calling her the "Big Baby Panda" and that's how I think of her. Some big cute stuffed animal that pretty much does nothing. I mean, I know she's got game, but SNORE.
Now, I can totally get into the dislike of Jankovic. At least I feel something about her massive forehead.
The only woman on tour I really like is Safina.

Of the up-and-comers, me too. And, good timing--she just won her opening match.

I like Safina too. I also like Safin, so I guess it makes sense.
I was cracking up today when Tracy Austin interrupted JMac talking about Ana I's game to say something about her fistpump and JMac was like "she's a beautiful young girl and has a pretty fistpump but she has to step into her backhand" (or something). Then, he teased Tracy about Safin kissing her at the champion's thing and said his wife called and told JMac that Safin was hot! Hee

Hee I was watching that last night and Safin was actually giving everyone high fives and Austin said what no kiss?I dislike her but I'm sure I would have asked the same question!

Oh that's what it was! That's pretty funny! Safin was probably scared and ran away

Is anyone watching Haas/Gasquet? I can only scoreboard watch. Haas got broken serving for the first set, then lost it in a tiebreak.
Now Haas has taken the second.
Spadea (or as I like to think of him "BigPileofVomit") took the first set from Safin, but Marat is up a break in the second.

I was trying to watch on my laptop, but the buffering was driving me crazy so I gave up. Why is Wimby the only major that has a live feed? I don't understand it.
Anna Lena Groenfeld just beat Daniela Hantuchova. I know Dani hasn't been lighting the courts on fire lately, but that's still pretty surprising. That would have to be Anna's biggest win since she fell off the face of the earth and her former coach started making vicious comments about her weight to anyone who would listen.

I think it's to do with TV rights. US TV has it, and doesn't want to share. Eurosport can't stream it in the UK because Sky broadcast it on TV. I'd imagine that the lack of advertising money at the BBC means that online streaming isn't compromised.

I'm watching the Haas/Gasquet match on the CableSports feed and the stream is running very smoothly. Some of the channelsurfing feeds are busier than others, so I just keep experimenting until I find a stable one.

This reminds me: I'm really happy that Gasquet is playing doubles with Santoro. If there is anyone who can help with learning to win on more than talent, it's Fabrice. Great pairing. I do, however, hope Tommy pulls out this singles match. I'm all over the place with the scoreboard right now--Safin, Haas, Verdasco, Gonzalez. Big day.

Why, Greg Rusedski, why must you pronounce Gasquet as GasGET. Not even all the time either, so i know he knows how to say it properly.
And Marat has slinked through, in 5 over Spadea.
Oh god, and now the idiots on Sky are proclaiming Murray to the heavens because of the "good news" that Youzhny has pulled out in his section of the draw. Are the stars aligning to make this Murray's tournament.. AUUUUUUUGH.

Hehe, Gonzo is getting shit from the crowd. He's being an ass to the linesman though, he's asking for it.

Awww, I'm sad that Youzhny has pulled out. I don't know why, but I like him. I thought Marat's on court interview afterwards was funny, but I like him so I choose to view him as funny rather than obnoxious.

I missed that, what was he saying?

He got called for foot faults twice in a crucial game (JMac was getting all upset about it in the booth, but you know how it is) and complained to the umpire, linesmen, tournament refs etc. So he was like "yeah, the refs are all wrong of course" in the on-court interview but then he laughed a little bit so at least he didn't look totally meanspirited. He did throw a racquet, but the Safin of old would have smashed it, so I guess he's maturing?
