Poor Dinara! I really had hopes for her now that she had gotten rid of the creepy coach...well good luck to her in the future. Congrats to Kimiko though.

What happened in the Ferrer match? I got up from my desk and now the feed is gone and it says "no game currently playing" but live scores still has a score. Did they just turn off the cameras?

Ferrer killed the time clock with his racquet before. Maybe this time he went after the camera.

This Mina kid can really hit. He's had some fabulous winners. Rafa is just stepping it up on the big points. Mina has had break points in almost all of Rafa's service games.

He's entertaining for sure. A little reminiscent of Monfils in a not so good way in that he's staying way defensive and is remaining way back off the baseline, but you're right, he's acquitting himself pretty well. He's also a little reminiscent of Rafa. If he can learn to do more on the big points, he could make some waves.

I feel pervy saying it because he's so young, but yeah, Mina is really attractive.
Yeah, TTC, I'd rather see the Gimeldouche talk about a player, even Nadal, than actually watch the fucking match. Get back to the goddamn tennis. Also, I wonder how TTC and ESPN will conspire to screw us over the coverage shifts.
No, I am not a morning person. Why do you ask?

tiki he's legal and he is attractive, no shame in noticing. He's doing very well against Rafa all things considered

They did that this morning after the Henin match. Talk, talk, talk about the match that was over and then FINALLY saying "we're going to go to some LIVE tennis." Well, duh! They then proceeded to spend two minutes on Verdasco's match before they switched over to Roddick warming up. Ugh. At least not getting to see any of the Verdasco match kept me from being late to work.

Legal, how awesome! But he's still super young.
Does anyone else think Ted and JMac were paid off to talk about that fucking watch of Nadal's? I didn't need the exact spelling of the manufacturer's name, guys, because even if I had a spare half million, I'd never spend it on a watch.
Also, listening to JMac drool over the Shakira video (and specifically mention Nadal being shirtless) was totally disturbing. I'll have nightmares all week now.

Man injuries are rampant in this period. 10-15 guys of the top 100 withdrew from Roland Garros with injuries.
Dinara Safina/Kimiko have their own injuries that they struggle with. Marion Bartoli has called a trainer, and now has Jie Zheng.

Fashion notes: Sharapova's dress looks like it was pinned together seconds before she came on-court. And Pervak...is that supposed to be a skirt? If so, why bother, when it's shorter than your shorts?
The commentators seem to be talking up Sharapova quite a bit, but she hasn't been good on clay in the best of times. Fights like hell, though, I'll give her that.

Well- Maria did win a clay tournament last week- but agree that clay has never been her best surface. And she is not starting gangbusters today.
Mina was a-dor-able. Such a sweet face!

More hints on the Getty image--it just goes to the site, not the image itself. And I'm curious about the pink. . .
That underwear is pretty darn funny. Somehow, I don't think wearing "Team Verdasco" underwear would be comforting to one's partner (you know, for instance).

Maria "Allez up your fucking ass!" Sharapova played pretty well today, and I'm looking forward to a round 3 match-up (if all goes well) against Henin. I think she'd put up a great fight and maybe score the upset. Her ground game is looking so much better than earlier in the year, and her serve, while still shaky, won't be as attackable on clay. If Henin is still committed to this aggressive game-style, I can see her having probs with Pova.
As tacky as I find Venus's dress, she is ALL over the blogs, newspapers etc. because of it, which means tennis is getting tons of press. So its not such a bad thing IMO.
