I had a bad feeling when I read a quote from Roger saying that Djoko couldn't get it done against him.
Nevertheless, like apocalipstick, I expected Djoko to crumble, grumble and lose.
Go Rafa!

That was a stupid forehand error. I hate to admit it, but I'm feeling a bit bad for Roger. He's had, compared to 2009 and the rest of his career, a totally shit year.
Cheese and rice, I fucking hate Novak though. The bending over on the court, the fake heavy breathing during the interview, the parents, the facial moles, the pointy incisors. He's so not charming. I can see him wearing a worn satin leopard print jacket singing "Feelings" in a skeevy hotel bar.

From my point of view, the men's final could not be more repulsive. I think I'll skip it. What? I'm not bitter at all!
Now, come on, Vera!

There was a lot of the good kind of drama there. That was a admirable fight to the end. I would have been rooting for Rafa either way tomorrow, so this doesn't change my Sunday too much, and Djoker is a lot easier to watch when he's not making with the chest puffing and histrionics, so it was an enjoyable match even if my guy didn't win.

Agreed falafaclese. I was for Rafa either way but hate that Roger didn't defend his points as a finalist.

Sniff, waah, don't like this outcome! Oh Roger, don't do this to me. I mean, I know he's not the Roger of old, not so dominant, not a done deal, but I don't like it. Pout. Remiinding myself he wasn't gonna win the tourny anyway, but still, just don't like him to lose. Sigh,, guess I have to get used to the new world order. He had years of dominance , not like he was a fluke. And still the most beautiful game I've ever seen.

I checked and Fed loses 500 points while Djokovic gains 500 so yeah, Djokovic is #2 regardless of whether he wins the title. Djokovic is defending three titles in the fall, though, so Fed could finish the year at #2.

My biggest problem with the match was that Roger really played poorly. All those errors into the net! That lazy attitude when he went down breaks in the 2nd and 4th. Beaker was smart--he played clean tennis and let Roger do all the fucking up.
Rafa was on fire in his match and Youzhny never had a chance.
I didn't like that article about Super Saturday. I thought it was really short-sighted and showed a complete lack of understanding about what would solve the problems with it.

Can we get lots of shots of Vera's coach/hitting partner/sex partner?
ETA: Sorry to bring back the hate. I lose my Djokohate when I don't have to see him. On paper, he's mildly annoying. On the court, he's like a bad SNL skit about a whiny tennis player.

No need to apologize, I can hardly argue with you. He is annoying.
Since Collette can't win, I'm rooting for Vera. Two major finals in a row is worth a reward. (In addition to that hitting partner, that is)
Ps. I'm pretty sure I'm spelling Collette wrong, but I'm committed, so I can't change it now.

Collette can't win the match, but she's won our hearts. You need a t-shirt with her face on it.
