NO kidding acre. I am LIVID.
I'm watching online, but you're right. It's not the same. A plague on their houses.
ETA: And while I'm at it, the live feed is 2 points or so behind the slamtracker. Grrr. Sure, I like to know who is going to win the point, but come ON. Give me some live TV coverage already.

Whups, I totally would've come home earlier, except that I thought the match wouldn't be till 6 or 7.

You're probably not going to get it on live TV anyway. I'm feeling bitter.

My sympathies I'm getting SOMETHING on TSN2, but it's probably not live - no live logo anyway. Which means i have to stay off the boards to not be 'spoiled', which isn't as fun.

I find that I am totally EVIL and would kinda like to Djok win, delaying Rafa's career Slam. Yes, I am just that petty in my Roger-love that I'd like it to take a little longer. I have no doubt he will achieve it, probably here and now, and I'll be happy enough for him cause he deserves it, but this is sports and irrational and I don't care. I'm apparently really not a very nice person, heh.
Oh God, the shots of Djok's parents are making me rethink that .....
Ack, I dont know what I want! The Rafa chants are so damn sweet and he's so earned the love, and really he's much nicer thank Djok. Too confusing for me, too many variables in play.

I felt that about Roger and the French! That was about the time I decided I needed to step away though. *grin* I've mellowed. I swear. And the Federer twins are adorable. But I loathe children. Yet they are totally cute. I go back and forth.
I cannot get behind a Djokovic win here even if he were playing Marcelo Rios. (Okay, I kind of adored Rios, but you get the picture.) The DjokoRents MUST BE STOPPED.

Sigh, rain.
Rafa had me really scared there for a bit.
ETA: they are indeed adorable!

Do they not cover the court in the US? Why ever not?

So, it sounds like 7:30 resumption at the earliest. Well, according to the US Open site which tends to be overly optimistic I think. I had to look away from the match for awhile, it was twisting my stomach - fabulous points but you, no you, go the other guy, wait....

I'm heading downstairs for food. Apparently ESPN2 is supposed to pick up the coverage when it comes back. Can't have anything messing with the precious CBS sitcom lineup. French of my balls!

I got stuck in the massive thunderstorm coming home. Sky went from blue to pitch black in the time it took me to walk into Port Authority and to leave on my bus. And then the lightning! And the traffic in front of Giants Stadium! (Jets game tonight.)
Are they saying not until 7:30 because they're looking at the radar or because ESPN2 won't air it until then? I'm watching my local weather/traffic channel and while the band is severe, it's pretty thin. I guess because it's clearing completely after it comes through they're just waiting. Oh, and the temperature is going drop a lot after the storm so be prepared for cold players--and the wind is coming too.
PS: they've delayed the Jets game. I know that doesn't matter in terms of tennis, but we're only about 15 miles from Flushing Meadows so it's pretty much the same weather.

Oh yay to that - I'd rather watch on ESPN2, though I don't know why I say that come to think of it cause I'm sure it will be the exact same coverage CBS would've provided. But hey, coverage! I can actually DVR it and blow off commercials etc, and probably not even watch until I know the outcome cause I am a big fat chicken who has no idea what I want, even.
Was definitely enjoying the English online commentary, so so much better than what US networks provide, but the picture and watching experience sacrifices too much. Heh, "watching experience", what am I, in marketing(no)?
I just got 7:30 from the weather report on the US Open site. Play suspended at 6:00, rain estimate to end in 60-75 minutes, then the whole drying everything off which is time comsuming.

. . . and our skies are blue.
Oh man. Jets/Ravens has been postponed about a half an hour. The Chargers/Chiefs game is going to start on time at 10:15 ET ON ESPN2!!!!!!! What happens if the tennis lasts longer than that?
