I think it's both, f'clese, but she definitely came up with that on her own. Very impressive.
Can't wait to read the press conference(s)...

Awww, tiki, haven't you heard? That's the latest in the tennis journalist vs. tennis blogger war (*sigh*). No more press conference transcripts online. Stupid. Everyone involved is just stupid. In this salvo I'm anti-journalist since part of the issue was people figuring out that when journalists were picking choice sound bites for their articles they were taking things out of context and making it seem like players were saying stuff they really weren't. Turns out they don't like accountability very much. . .

Oh for fuck's sake. Tennis is doing its level best to push me away, and that's a particularly stupid move during baseball season.

I think you can still get highlights from the post match at Rolandgarros.com and it is only the full transcripts that cannot be found. Maybe this will be the first and last tournament they try that because it really is smack-your-head stupid.

That sums up pretty universally my experience of listening to JMac, harry.
I'd like to see Djok get the #1 fer a bit, and agree that the #1 should go back to dating and give up on the long-term relationships.... But that means Sunday needs to look a bit different than history - and I think it just might!

I am now rooting for Rafa more than ever on Sunday. I don't mind if Novak gets to #1 but I'd rather it happen because he won a match than Roger beating them both. Besides, I'm pretty sure the situation will be similar at Wimbledon (Rafa will likely have to defend that title to hold onto #1) so only a matter of time.
Roger seemed to be eager to be the one to end this streak for least a month.

Could be a great match today- I like both ladies so it is win-win for me. Li Na looked quite nervous in the tunnel.
Exited about tomorrow. Call me crazy but I think tomorrow could be the last gs final between the two . It really has been a rivalry for the ages and it could be their last great final. Just going to try to appreciate it.

I was freaking out that the kids were suddenly high-maintenance around the start of the match - and that maybe I'd missed the first set. Silly me: there've been only two games! Oh, clay....

Entertaining so far. Na is obviously playing first-strike tennis, and it looks like Frankie's trying to match her. This could be interesting . . .

Safin looking good- he looks less worn than he did his last year of play.

Frannie's waking up. I hope this becomes a nailbiter.
ETA: Nevermind.

I despise Mary Carillo. I'd forgotten how much and was blessed with having the direct tv six screen coverage, so as not to hear her, until the second week, and even then I avoided her. This is absolutely excruciating, blah, blah, blah, can't she shut the hell up? All three of them, but I will say Ted has been fairly good, which is unusual.
Go, Li! She's killing it right now and looks to be in the zone. I'm so pleased.

From your lips. . . .
Right? Is it because we're comparing? He still does that "surprise!" inflection which drives my batty but am I just getting used to it or is it having to listen to Mary do it even more annoyingly?
I stayed up super late to watch TTC's airing of Roger/Djokovic since I only heard and didn't get to see those last games and I thought I had set up my TV channel so that I could come down a half an hour late for this match and then just rewind but I hadn't. Darn. Missed the end of the first set.
So happy for Li Na. I wish Schiavone was playing better/making more of a match but I do hope Li Na can hoist that trophy.

One thing for this women's finals is that they usually go by so fast and it's rarely a match where both players are playing well at the same time. One thing that I find disappointing about the women's game and their serving woes.
Li is just dialed in. I thought she should have won the Oz Open but if she can win this then I'll be freaking thrilled. Hold your nerve, Li, and bring home the trophy. Please, please, please.
Oh, damn. Maybe it will get competitive. Not a bad thing.

How's this for poor planning: so Lleyton Hewitt skipped the French to prepare for grass season. He won Halle after all, probably a good chunk of points wrapped up there. So what happens? He gets Federer for his first match!
