No no, it's no t-ouble, just teasing! < ETA OMG I am a horrible person!
Oh Jack Sock, if you can embarrass Andy, I will love you forever.
And no ego so far...
Sigh, rats, almost broke, then got broke.

lt - But remember the British influencing Andy's scheduling. They want him in their prime time. Murray hardly ever gets night matches when playing in the US. My guess is either Isner/Bogo or del Potro/Simon will be the night match.
That fourth set meltdown from Haase -losing at least a dozen games in a row - and the resulting comeback from 0-4 down in the fifth. Just wow! I never thought I'd see someone pull a Roddick when returning a serve just to avoid the warning - given he smashed at least two rackets, maybe a wise ploy. I hadn't seen a stretch like that since Safin retired.
I too fear Donald Young winning a match like this. On the other hand, is it wrong to want to see him beat Chela so I can hear what kind of bullshit he says about the chance to play Murray? I actually would want to see that beatdown. (Yes, I know Feli stands in the way as well but a side effect of all the drama involving Judy at Wimbledon is that there's no way in hell Andy would lose in this position)

Sigh, at 2-1 break point for Jack, I let the flight of fancy take me.
It WOULD have been hilarious though.
Very impressed with Jack regardless. I wonder, though, if the long black underwear came before or after he realized that his pants were translucent.

I would like to join those yearning for Jack Sock to embarrass Roddick. On Ashe Stadium. At night. In the first week. Of the US Open.
Or anyone named Sock, for that matter. Or even Sack/Sacque.
But it's not looking like it's going to happen.
I'm frustrated by Stosur, too. She's deep in the 3rd set against Petrova and really shouldn't be. I like her game more than almost any other woman's, but she's another of the head cases so prevalent in the women's game right now.

Thankfully Stosur won. Shrieky already damaged my draw enough.
I'm really sick of listening to McEnroe and Gilbert yammer on and on. I think I'll see what else is on the tv.

Hey, midwesterners (Nebraskans?) - what's "piss and vinegar" supposed to mean? I was expecting a lot more hot-headedness (though I confess to only half watching). Should I know the phrase already?
I was shocked to see Donald Young hold it together today. He's the hometown boy here. I saw him when he opened for the Venus/Serena expo at my university - he was so little! I have no affinity for him whatsoever, but I sure like the idea of him having to play Andy!
Loved AndyM blaming BG today (though BG of course introduced the topic of himself - argh). I'm now going to use that whenever things go suddenly off....

These people have no idea how to chant. It should be a call-and-response staccato: Jack! Sock! Jack! Sock!
So Jack seems to have great speed and reflexes, just a bit more strategy and court sense... will be good to see if he can learn it. If so, I think he'll be a force to be reckoned with.

I was actually rooting for Nadia. I'm kind of bummed that she didn't pull it off. I don't know what to think about Stosur. Rooting for her gives me all of the uncertainty of Monfils, without any of the flash and fun.
Although I guess you could probably say the same thing about Nadia.

No, lizm it's fine, I think it's funny. God knows what all these othe- poo- folks think, but it's funny to me.
So what's tomo--ow's schedule? I hope it ends up bette- than todays. Well, who am I kidding- Fed wins and nothing else matte-s. Yes I'd like Se-ena to win a ton and some othe-s, but mostly Fed, Fed, Fed, and Fed some more. I don't actually think he'll win anothe- Slam, but .... I love him, I don't care what he does, he's al-eady p-oven himself, forever. Now if the champs could be Venus and my Fed (obviously not possible) I'd be so happy. But I dont even expect Fed, and Venus is not a possibility. Se-ena would be nice. And/o- a guy I can ca-e about

Would you believe that, by winning today's match, Murray qualified for WTF? (A WTF match, indeed) Federer will likely qualify within the next few days but, yep, Andy is actually 3rd, ahead of Roger, in the Year-to-Date standings.

So, for anyone that is interested ( lt!) here's a video of Lopez getting a rub down. For whatever reason neither the masseuse nor Feli seem particularly interested in covering his cheeks. www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=253086364707717Funniest part is that Lopez is texting the entire time. I might have had to watch it 20 or 30 times before I noticed that.

moon, thank you! I was thinking if Fish was in the bottom half he would have gotten it--I completely forgot about Isner. *phew* feeling better. . .
. . . and laughing thanks to breezy. How priceless was that? And having the bubble named bubble?
I'm with you. I lurve me some crazy Nadia and what I liked about Samantha (the consistency for one) seems to have disappeared.

Kind of interesting that they put Sloane and Ana as the night match on Ashe instead of Serena and Vika which could end up being the match of the tournament if their history of matches is any indicator. And yesterday it was Christina and Kiri instead of Flavia and Sharapova. They seem to be really enamored with up and coming Americans this year. Or maybe they just want to hurry up and get them on there before it's too late? I almost think they're adding pressure in a way that could tip the odds against the newbies winning against more experienced players. It doesn't really matter one way or the other, I just know that there has been some debate about whether it's best to put big names on Ashe all the time rather than potentially good matches. In this case, Serena/Vika on paper has the potential to be both, and Flavia/Maria did as well.

CBS has the day coverage today so I think they want Serena's match in their window. TTC has the night matches tonight. I'm a Fed fan and at first I was surprised (a little) that Novak got a second might match in a row but now I'm glad because it seems they picked Roger for the day session too and Novak will be on TTC. I hope Davydenko plays true to old form and gives him a run for his money tonight...
