Hee, breezy, if you saw the number of Feli pictures that I didn't upload. . . I must have put the camera on burst mode (unconsciously of course) when I saw him sitting there.
falafaclese, thank you--both the cat and house are fine but the cat gave me such a scare when I got home! She wasn't downstairs and when I went upstairs I couldn't find her. Really got my heart pumping. Turns out she was just so deeply asleep that she didn't realize it was me who had come home. She slowly came down the stairs and when she saw it was me (instead of the cat sitter) just started crying and crying until I picked her up. Yup, makes the worry all worthwhile.

Berdych seems to relish the villain role. He may have won the match but playing 4 hours against Almagro the "weak link" (his words) on a surface that should have heavily favored Berd isn't what I'd call good. Add on doubles tomorrow against a confident team known for running their opponents all over the place, followed by Ferrer on Sunday.
Personally, I hope he falls flat on his face.

Yeah, after I read that he said that, I really wanted Almagro (who I like better than him anyway) to beat his ass. At least he made him fight hard. Berdych really can be pretty charmless.

Feli is wearing lady glasses. Although they're not red, he looks a little like Sally Jessie Rafael.
Okay, maybe they're not that bad, it's just weird seeing him in glasses.

Congratulations, Czech guys. Yeah, you're not the most charming, but well done.
Robby Koenig tweeted that he played Stepanek in doubles in Estoril in 2001, and Stepanek told him he was quitting tennis after the tournament because he was out of money.

Since I couldn't watch any of the Davis Cup I just googled to see what he looked like. I found a picture of him wearing a t-shirt that says "I'd Hit That." Okay, c'mon, considering everything, that's funny.

Given those photoshopped movie posters of the Spanish DC team, that's not even the funniest image of Feli out there. Link to MTF post. While I pretty much dislike Berdych, it's more complicated with Stepanek. I like his style of play, have issues with his gamesmanship, find his odd shirts refreshing, always wonder about the women who flock to him (and that story from Koenig is fascinating). At an age where many players have to dodge questions of retiring, 2012 has ended up being his most memorable year professionally thanks to the years putting in with Berdych paying off and doubles pairing with Paes so have utmost respect for him. Must say it must be weird for Spanish tennis fans to see Rafa-slayer Lukas Rosol holding that DC trophy.

So Nadal has had his 1st public practice, and all the tou-ny's a-e gasping fo- him, basically begging him. Well, who can blame them? I wish him all the best, quick-fast. Tennis is just less without him. Which is saying something conside-ing how fucking awesome tennis is lately, but yeah he is just that special. Come back Nadal, come back healthy, come back soon, I miss you.
