I just realized: he has a bit of a Clive Owen look to him. Which can't be bad.

Memo to Lendl: if Murray ends up playing Federer in the SFs, just tell Andy that rain is looming and a roof ain't going to interfere this time.

Eurosport is re-playing the Murray/Raonic match right now.. Milos = how you lose a point with a 139 MPH serve is beyond me? (must be that shirt?) (Did he run around his BH the entire match?) Murray looking very good indeed. And YAY Vinci!!! (not that I'm biased or anything? But any time Roberta wins is nice. heh heh) Serena gave a clinic..while not in any way exciting, still happy she is in it. Looks like there will be a LOT of rain today...I wish they would put a roof on ONE of the courts?

Heh, so true. And boy, walking to work this morning was like walking through water--murky, marshy water. Quoting Jim Courier when he was interviewing Berdych yesterday, "I don't know how to give more than 100%." Well, I don't know how they managed more than 100% humidity without it actually raining, but they did. Expect some sluggish play today. I wonder who that helps/hurts the most?

Wake up, Stosur!
Argh, she is so annoying. I think she might be more talented all-around than Azarenka, but her mental weakness kills me.

Sam's never even taken a set off of Victoria in all of their matches and I think they've played about 6 times. I don't know what it is about Victoria's game that shuts down Sam's but it seems pretty darn effective.

For anyone on the ground in New York, can you help me out? I need to make an executive decision on working at home today. If it's going to rain all day, obviously I need to go in to the office, but I'd reaaaaaaaaaaaaally like to stay at home. Anyone have a clue about the rain status/forecast?

Hey, tiki. I'm 30 miles NNW of Flushing Meadows, and my local forecast is for 60% chance of thundershowers all day, lessening into the evening.

Thanks, mooncreek! Me and my lazy ass are sitting at home watching Stosur/Azarenka and ignoring the 70-page manual I'm supposed to be editing.
Come on, Stosur!

After I spouted off about Sam never taking a set off of Victoria, she took the 2nd set. Come on Sam!

Also, whoever designed those short Nike skirts with brightly colored, wide horizontal stripes right at the widest part of any woman's body and lots of flowy material over the butt obviously HATES WOMEN.

I'm rooting for Gasquet over Ferrer. What's wrong with me? I guess as good as David's game is, I'm more interested in seeing more of Richard's style.
But then they showed the most adorable little girl in David's box cheering madly. Hard not to want her to be happy. . . This weather would definitely affect Gasquet's game more than Ferrer's. Ferrer can just hit through the muck.

So true, harry. Which reminds me that I always thought Stella McCartney hated the Woz; those dresses were so unflattering.
