In my comment about Andy's reaction, it was the combination of wandering dazed after the first match point, setting up to serve in the wrong spot, the shoes and searching for the watch. At first, I thought he'd wanted to reach up to his box and had no energy (which I'm sure was true as well) but that it turned out to be asking Kim about the watch was so coupley of them.

Just a reminder that TTC is re-airing all of the US Open finals today for those who might have missed spmething. From 11am-12am with the women's semi's thrown in for good measure, before they air the women's final.

Well, I thought it was a great US Open. I'm not a huge Murray fan - really like him off the court but on court he sort of sucks all of the fun out of tennis - but I was thrilled to see him get his first Slam. Also, I can't help but be thrilled when Djoker loses. Every time I start to like him a bit he or his parents spoil it and I go back to really disliking him.
I'm not a huge Azarenka fan either but wow did I admire her fight against Serena.
May I also take a moment to give a shout out to Canadian Filip Peliwo who won the Junior Boys title. He also won Wimbledon this year and was the runner-up at the French and Australian. It's the first time since Edberg in '83 that one boy has reached the finals of all four slams in one year. Pretty impressive.

Congrats to Peliwo! Here's hoping for Canada with Raonic and him. . .
I just watched Andy's appearance on Live with Kelly and Michael--when Andy went for a drop shot late in the fifth set one of his toenails came off. That explains quite a bit about the shoes and limping, etc. etc.

It's interesting how much emerging talent is coming out of Canada right now with Eugenie Bouchard, the Abanda sisters and Peliwo. You could have some great players to join Raonic in a few years!

I was just on Getty Images checking out pics of the US Open, and that guy that Venus has reportedly been dating is captioned as Elio Pis. Then i googled the name and he is described as a Cuban model. I don't know what to think at this point.
ps. Venus has completely changed her look since two days ago, and she looks great. Serena was on Jimmy Fallon, as well as in some post tourney photos with the trophy and some firemen looking pretty great too. I can't figure out how to link them.

Talk about a hilarious disparity between the US Open champs. Serena poses it up with the firefighters while most of Andy's seems like he's auditioning for 40 Year Old Virgin. The 9/11 tribute interrupted both Today show and Kelly and Michael but did catch Andy on Jimmy Fallon. I do not get how Fallon keeps an audience because it was all about second-hand embarrassment.

Djok gave an exceptionally gracious post-match inte-view. I stopped disliking him some time ago, but this is the wa-mest I've eve- felt towa-d him. I mean, just really gene-ous and complimenta-y beyond the usual.
