I'm at a friend's house in Brooklyn and it started pouring rain about 15 minutes ago...and I mean pouring. Thunder included. Let's see how long it lasts.

ETA: National Weather Service has issued a Tornado warning for Brooklyn and Queens until 11:30 AM today. Rotation was on their Doppler radar.

So glad that Martina and Lindsay put their 2 cents in about the Taylor Townsend situation. No on could accuse Martina of not taking fitness seriously. Love how blunt she was saying that USTA is just covering their asses, now that they will cover Taylor's expenses. Would really love to hear from Kathy Rinaldi and Jose Higueras.

Ultimately it makes me sad for Taylor and left wondering about what excactly all the new changes at USTA will bring. Wertheim also pointed out rather strongly why episodes like these highlight why he feels USTA honchos should not also do commentary. Which is something I've been complaining about (not that my kids care ) for years.

Have things to do around 3PM EST, wonder how many games I will get to see played!

Fortunate that this match was able to start as soon as it did. Berdych's toss is being blown all over the place. Not surprising, Murray is up a break.

ETA: Didn't take long to find out that Murray doesn't like Berdych all that much.

Very true. It frequently appears that there is no love lost with whomever he is playing. Especially when you listen to some interviews.

Well, the way it's going right now, I really hope Roger isn't watching this match. But this is typical of spoilers who collapse in the next round.

What an odd match. I can't say as I enjoy watching tennis when there are winds like that. I know I hate playing tennis in that kind of wind.

Am I only one sick of these male players with their faithful model girlfriend following them from tournament to tournament, cheering them on in the stands, wringing their hads at the mistakes and looking pensive when it's the other player's point? Do these women have nothing else going on in their lives? That's it? Their life consists of being their tennis boyfriend's groupie? Sorry, rant ended.
