So now the women's singles semis start I hope? I am home again with the bad cold (never went away actually...) hope the matches are good. guru, I don't know if you have seen jon wertheim's twitter but he completely agrees with you re Taylor Townsend (as do I for what it's worth). I wonder also, how does it help someone who may need to lose a few pounds to tell her *not* to play? Tennis is pretty good exercise. Really bad judgement I agree. For anyone who hasn't seen it also thought this was cute: (Roger as "The most interesting man...") www.dropbox.com/s/k0vnb0hv3qb75gj/TC_MOST_INTERESTING.m4v

Programming alert! Because of the potential for rain tomorrow, they've moved the start time for the first semi. According to usopen.org, Andy/Tomas will start "sharply at 11am." Since most CBS stations aren't going on the air until noon, cbssports network will air the beginning of the match.

Sorry about your cold, roseha. Feel better.
LMAO at the "most interesting man" video. It was well done. Thanks for sharing.
Also, thanks for the Wertheim tip. Glad I'm not alone in thinking WTF?
For the first time ever I've had to turn the sound down to avoid the shrieking. I couldn't figure out why I was suddenly on edge and then...

The particular shrieking Maria is doing at this point is making me nervous. Vika, on the other hand, sounds as calm as ever.

The shrieking is ridiculous! They overlap, for fuck's sake. Normally I can't stand Mary Carillo, but she's right; something needs to be done.
With the sound off, I'm rooting for Sharapova. With the sound on, I wish there was some way they could both lose.

It sounds like two cats fighting in an alley.
Thanks for the heads up about the time change tomorrow, It.

Yes thanks a lot for the tip, lt. And thanks guru for your wishes. The cold has to go away sometime!
They both sound horrible actually, I agree. I'm sure that the shrieking would disappear pronto if there were point penalties involved.
Someone mentioned the 10 players who've won all four slams, Am I right that it's Don Budge, Maureen Connolly, Rod Laver, Margaret Court, Graf, Agassi, Serena, Roger and Rafa? Oh, and Maria?
But did neither Martina nor Chris do it? Maybe they didn't play Australia much.

Now if Serena wins too, the final will be competitive, unless Serena comes out on fire like at the Olympics. Either way I'm happy with Vika or Serena winning.
Thanks lt for the updated schedule.

With the sound off, I'm rooting for Sharapova. With the sound on, I wish there was some way they could both lose. I came up for air from a project I have been freaking out about for the past three days to read this. Thanks yoou for the much needed tension relief tiki! Now, unfortunately, back to work.

roseha - Martina and Chris absolutely won all 4 Slams, so that's 12. And I think 12 is it, at least I can't think of anyone else, but those 12 are definite (based on my mind and some quick Wiki checks).

C'mon Sara, make this a match. . .
Hmmmm, another good-looking guy in Serena's box ('cause I'm counting Venus's boyfriend if he's there today): Patrick Mourataglou, Serena's "coaching consultant." Beautiful eyes.

Anytime, fala! And good luck on your project. We've all saved each other's sanity at some point on this forum.
Serena is destroying Errani pretty much like I thought she would. Anyway think Azarenka has a chance in the final? I'm firmly Team Serena.

Ain't that the truth. And that was perfect for this Friday, tiki.
Hoping for Serena, and hoping she does it with nary a peep.

tiki I'm rooting for Serena but I did want Vika to win today so the final would be a little more competitive. Maria doesn't even seem to even play Serena close these days.
Thanks acre, that's what I thought so sounds like the commentators were wrong (shock!)
