Yup.
I just saw that Samantha Crawford made it to the Junior Singles. She's the one I saw play Laura Robson in the first round--she serves really big and she's very tall. Judy Murray commented on her in her Twitter feed after that match saying that she thought Crawford could be big for the US.
I am going tomorrow--a co-worker can't use his women's finals tickets because of the day change so that certainly makes it worthwhile. . . .

Looks like the men's semi final will be on ESPN2 at 11am EST. Then the women's at 4:30pm EST on CBS. I guess ESPN2 won't be showing the women't doubles or perhpas after the men's semi they'll show it. Either way I have to say I missed the ESPN2 commentary over on CBS, something I never thought I'd say. I'd forgotten how much I dislike Mary, John, and Macatee.

As if you weren't all my favorite people already, now you're talking about my favorite topic - moving the USO. I write a sad, pathetic letter occasionally to the USTA about changing the dates. Because it always lines up with the beginning of the fall semester for me, it seems impossible that I'll ever be able to go. And yet it's so close! It's NYC! So ridiculous, but I've never yet been able to figure it out. If it were a week earlier, then I'd get to see my coveted first week play (and could write my syllabi during the changeovers).
Really hoping that David looks today like he did yesterday. If it ends up being as you are predicting, I will be so sad. Come on, Ferru!

Poor David. He was on fire yesterday, but I have zero faith that he'll be able to shut Djoker down again today.

It's not on here. I've checked every channel. I've got it up on my computer by I'm actually going to play tennis shortly so I can't record it. Sooooo pissed off.

I'm in Canada Fala. We don't have ESPN2. That translates to TSN2 here and it's not on. It's not on any channel.

They don't just clao for Ferrer's faults, they stand up and clap. I really, really don't like Djoker's parents.

Sadly this has been very one-sided.

Today's match has been basically a disaster, especially if you're a Ferrer fan.

Falafaclese, I totally just had a close encounter with Collette! I was watching them practice the flag unfurling on the Grandstand and when I was walking back to Armstrong, there she was, carrying a pizza and ready to watch the women's doubles with the rest of the ballkids.

Oh, one big thing I forgot about the Mon finals - they play the 1st round ove- 3 days! That's just unnessa-y, change that! I don't doubt you about the swamp lt, but it puzzles me that the land can take the weight of a huge stadium, and yet not the weight of a roof? I believe it, but it just seem odd. Anyway, stop d-agging out the 1st round, and that will at least help.
I just saw that this was scheduled to be the last Supe- Satu-day. Don't know what schedule exactly they have planned, but a day off between semis and finals, like eve-y othe- Slam.
I expected Djok to win (he is bette-), but today was kinda sad. I mean, not close.

acre, a couple of the commentators were having a smiliar argument early on in the tournament and someone - I think it was Courier - argued that the USO should start the weekend before Monday as the FO does. I still think that due to recent years' developments - due to climate change I think - it would be better to move the whole tournament a week earlier but starting even a few days earlier might help. Then again I think that would only really help if they planned both the finals for Saturday to allow some leeway and I don't see that happening.
Congratulations to Errani and Vinci!

Seriously. Other tournaments pull it off just fine. It's the crazy commercial tv wagging the dog situation here in this country. Scheduling semis and finals one day apart in a two-week tournament is inexcusable. We'd maybe be in an ok place if it had been just the women's final set for yesterday, with the men's semis on fri, the women's semis on thurs., etc. I'm sure the weather would have had some impact, but not quite like this....
