I ran into Collette again as she was leaving the court after being one of the flag bearers for the ceremony--and the Czechs were right behind her. Who was I more happy to see? Now I'm going to walk the grounds as my usual good-bye to the Open before the singles final. Saddest part of the year for me, having to say good-bye.

tikigirl, it looks like it will be. They are streaming live from Ashe now--Agassi is speaking (being inducted to the Court of Champions I think).

Falafaclese, I totally just had a close encounter with Collette! I was watching them practice the flag unfurling on the Grandstand and when I was walking back to Armstrong, there she was, carrying a pizza and ready to watch the women's doubles with the rest of the ballkids. That's too funny. I don't think I would know what to do with myself if I saw her in person. I've now made it potentially weird for myself. |
