I have pretty good natural musculature for a chick (and I'm a feminist, so I get to say stuff like that), and I could not remotely achieve Stosur's results, lizm. So jealous...and vowing to work out more.
Fuck the AO for ruining my sleep schedule yet again...

And then there is the flipside...that Stosur's mental side is so very weak.

I'd trade my mental side for muscles like that However, I need to go to bed, so I need Zheng to wrap this set up... I told myself I'd go to bed after this set. ETA: and good night! Sigh. Stupid work.

This is actually the first time I've ever been able to watch a Stosur match at AO. Knowing the crowd for the Aussies over the years - they were rather insane for 2 Aussie wild cards yesterday - I just can't see Stosur, who looks so shaky and had so many misshits today, overcoming that crowd.

I haven't seen Stephens yet this year but I really like her game and hope she does well. Would love to see her win a slam.
I recorded the tape-delay from Tennis Channel this AM and TIVO deleted it? Will have to work on that in the future, think I will not be able to stay up late tonight.
I did see the TC wrap-up show and it was nice to hear Fred Stolle again after all these -decades?- he has a nice non-hysterical way of analyzing the game.

Madison Keys looked great vs Paszek, who seems to be closest thing we have to grass specialist. Considering how old she is, Madison Keys' performance was downright ominous. Especially her serve. She hot a short spinning short-angle wide serve to the deuce court that was just nasty looking. And the swagger at that age, considering how tall she is, has to be noticeable when you're across the net.

Li Na said EXACTLY that in her ESPN2 interview.
And, to Stosur's muscles, it's great seeing a woman athlete who's so conspicuously buff, but I don't think it's the most attractive look for the average gal.
And why am I so annoyed with women tennis players who have that pudgy look (particularly when they're grown-up professionals)? I'm more comfortable chuckling indulgently over Fat Dave and Chubby Marcos, but someone like Kvitova's soft, fleshy look really peeves me. It's prejudice, right? (And this is coming from someone who definitely could stand to lose a fair amount of weight.)

I'm annoyed with them too, harry! Men and women both. I guess I find it unfathomable that someone who is a pro athlete can't bother to be in the best shape possible. I just imagine how fab I would look with a dietician and personal trainer....

I immediately thought ligament tear--which, at this point with his history of injuries, would have been a career ender (not everyone can be Adrian Peterson) but according to NY Times it was a meniscus tear. I had that in the 2011 summer and the recovery is waaaaaaayyyyyyy easier than an ACL or something like that.
Since my body allows either muscular or blobby--I'm much happier with muscular.
I point you towards VBarre or Barre Method training--great for the muscle tone and no trade off for brain necessary!

If Florian Mayer was going to be that useless today, he should have just lost the last point against Rhyne Williams. No way should Berankis lose only six games.
In other news, Serena is okay. I'm actually liking Muguruza's game - for someone her age who idolized Serena, she's not intimidated.

Glad to see Serena is okay, and I'm also glad to see Muguruza is acquitting herself well. I have been hearing about her, but I hadn't seen her until now.

Mind you I despise Murray's outfit. But the fact that Martina Navratilova appears to be perving on him - at least three times she's mentioned the tight shirt showing off his physique - is nearly comical.

I've decided that no tennis player's name has ever had the potential to be either really boring or really exciting as Blaz Kavcic.
Either his name is pronounced "Blahs" which sucks or it's "Blaze" which is wicked awesome.
