Thanks again for TTC stream tip, falafaclese. I got to watch the match I wanted, even if it isn't over yet and I don't have high hopes for Feli in a one-set match tomorrow. If only he could have held on to the break of serve in the fourth, this sucker would be over. Darn.
I un-muted the end of the Venus/Urszula match in time to hear John/Mary/Ted and immediately re-muted. That is not a trio I have any desire to listen to after listening to the nice British gentleman for court 7.

When I wrote my previous post, I was considering comparing Venus Williams to Lleyton Hewitt. After the ending to Venus/Ula, it seems like an apt comparison. Personally invest more in Venus, since she's been my favorite player forever, but they both showed how they became champions... and how age and health are no longer kind to either.

Rafa is making me really nervous.
Tsonga was looking good though.

Darn it all. When Brands lost that 0-3 point in the 2nd set tiebreak I figured it was all over. I like his game though and, pushing shallowness to the fore, he's very classically handsome. I left when he went down a break in the third and I wasn't surprised to see the final score when I got back home.
Surprised Feli was able to beat Marcel, but I didn't get to watch any of it.
At some point I will stop thanking falafaclese but not yet--the Roland Garros official app is horrific and I'm really liking TTC one that he pointed out. Think I'll go watch some Monfils/Berdych match that I know NBC won't be airing.

They are showing TTC on TSN here in Canada and we have NBC coverage. I'm recording both in the hopes that they showing different things. I hope the Berdych/Monfils match is shown on one of them.
I really do like Andy Murray and feel bad for him that he had to miss the tournament but OMG his voice drones on and on. When they were interviewing him over the Federer match yesterday all I could hear was the waa-waa-waa noise that Charlie Brown's teacher made.

This article about Zuzana Kucova, who beat Goerges today, made me a bit teary-eyed. Add to that she's playing Virginie Razzano next - who might be using this tournament to retire as well. Say what you want about Gael Monfils but he does give the French fans their money's worth. You get everything when he's around. I'm not sure how he's still hanging in this match... but I know I'm thrilled with either result because a tired Berdych against Gulbis is fine with me. ETA: I cannot believe Monfils stayed mentally in that match the entire time! Big Win for him.

Woot! I did not expect Gael to come out of that match as the winner when he lost that fourth set. Back to the shallow end, I noticed yesterday that Simon and today, Monfils have both really grown into their baby faces and are quite handsome men.

Wow, Monfils beat Berdych? Nice win indeed! I'll have to catch some of the replay. I'm watching some of the replay of Li/Medina-Garrigues right now. And Li looks quite good, as she has most of the year. Her new coach is paying dividends. She's starting to play a nice all-court game.

Rainy day in Paris.
I'm very disappointed in the official Roland Garros app. No Roland Garros Radio! That should be a top priority for a live-event app. I tried going to the official website to get the radio there but my phone won't download the needed flash.

Tsonga didn't play great today but glad he pulled it out. Allez!
Monfils was on fire coming back against Gulbis.
Hello? Anybody here? Anyone? Bueller?

It's sad that Wozniacki's game is at the point where it's a shock when she wins a match easily (as did against Robson) and losing to Jovanovski is ho-hum.
Incidentally, Robson pulled out of doubles with Raymond with a back issue. This will make the first time Lisa Raymond has not been in the draw for ladies doubles GS event since 1995!

Wow, that's crazy! Too bad it's too late for Lisa to grab another partner.
Happy for Monfils. I saw the end of the Querrey match and he looked, dare I say it, good. His opponent wasn't so hot so the luck of the draw is definitely there but Sam was hitting some good shots.
