TSN just switched from the Fed/Rob match to the Raonic/Gasquet match...
I feel like whenever I watch Milos play, he loses. And I get frustrated by his return game and wonder how he can possibly be in the top 10. Unqualified support for my fellow Canadian is something I'm trying to work on improving.
Also, I don't like his necklace charm. Doesn't one of the women wear the same one? (Sharapova, maybe?)

Looka like Robredo ate his Wheaties today.

I'm not sure what the heck is going on with Gasquet -- he's having to wipe the court over and over again with his towel... is it his sweat that he's wiping up?

Edit: dear gods that 'no avatar' picture is creepy. Sort of like the Greendale Human Being. Heh! I thought it was your actual avatar. I thought your were some sort of Area 51 enthusiast. ETA: What the?? . . . A straight sets loss against an over-the-tennis-hill Tommy Robredo is not going to do good things for Fed's head.

lizm - yes that's exactly what he's doing. Robredo fell during his match, left a very big sweat stain requiring a few towels (it was likely his own sweat that led to the fall as well).

Roger is totally walkabout. It's like he just forgets what he's supposed to do for four or five consecutive points. Robredo is not that good.
I hate to say it, but I wonder if he's thinking retirement. I know he doesn't want to play unless he can really compete. He just doesn't seem to want to compete.
I've got Rafa on my livestream. The camera angle when he's sitting in his chair....let's just say if he were wearing baggy shorts it would be the equivalent of an up skirt shot.

Straight sets. Wow. I do love Tommy but not more than Roger and now I really, really need Kohlschreiber to win or else Wednesday night is going to be a total yawn.
It's so New York that the crowd got behind Tommy when it was obvious Roger was, as apocalipstick said, on walkabout.
Now come on Richard! Get your act together too.

When it started to rain today I figured, "Here comes the footage of the Connors/Krickstein match". What a pleasant surprise to a whole bunch of tie breakers instead although I'm not sure what made some of them "great". Of course, they showed the tie breaker between Conners and Krickstein so...yeah.
I love Tommy Robredo. I'm met him at Roger's Cup in 2009 and he was just the sweetest man. That being said I don't think I can accept Roger Federer losing to him. In straight sets. It's just boggling my mind. It feels like the apocolypse or something. I wish he'd retire. I don't want to watch him slide further down the rankings.

At this point I not only won't be seeing Max at the WTF, I won't be seeing Roger. I have gone to the year-end championships multiple times since 2003 and I've never not seen both of them. Times, they are a changin'.

I hate to say this but Roger looked like a player locked by nerves. Can't imagine he'd go on walkabout given the lure of Rafa lurking.

OMG, I didn't even think of that. They can't have the WTF without Roger. It's just not right.

I think I'm destined for this day to not have good outcomes for me--while Philipp won the first set, I don't have too much hope for the rest of the match and I really don't think Gasquet is going to pull this out. I think I'm going to have to switch to watching the Kohlschreiber/Nadal match on my computer because I just can't take PMac and Cliffy drooling over Rafa any more. This must be what it was like for non-Roger fans having to listen to John and Chris talk about Roger winning while Tommy was serving for match.

lt - you just made me realise that this Raonic/Gasquet match I'm watching has no commentary. Wow, this is nice.

Richard pulled it out. Raonic looks so much like an overgrown Eddie Munster to me. He needs to grow into his face.
Phillip is playing extremely well.
As to the announcers, I don't mind the Roger worship as much as I used to. At least it wasn't JMac. He annoys the crap out of me on th regular. I love th blue of Philip's shirt. I don't like Rafa's gray on gray look.
Eta: I meant Richard pulled out the set, not the match. Ipad posting can be annoying.

It would figure that Gasquet could end that QF drought by winning a match in which his opponent chokes away MP.
