Where is everybody? The French is probably my lease favourite slam but I'll still excited. So far I've seen Venus and Serena dominate and I've seen Berdych who appears to have been on his way to the beach when he got lost and ended up on a tennis court.

Here's a link to streams for RG - www.drakulastream.eu/tennis-live-streaming-video.html. I got rid of my cable last October and have been using the streams since, not too bad, sometimes they lag or the picture is not so crisp. Just make sure you have ad blocker.

Hoping for Serena to defend and for a Nole victory. But I'm thinking Rafa will still end up taking it all and that wouldn't bother me either.

It's funny. I watched Serena's match yesterday, and although she only dropped 3 games, and won in just over an hour, I found myself thinking she didn't look great. She took a little while closing it out at the end. It says a lot about the expectations that her level if play and the resulting success has caused.

Raonic looked good. Djokovic has an interesting draw.

Hi, everyone -- It's nice to see some of the gang back on board here at Tennis Heaven.

A few comments: 1) Raonic DID look good, his game and especially his haircut. I think he looks best with short hair. Thank goodness he got rid of the headband.
2) I haven't seen Li Na play yet this FO but I think her latest Nike kit is so sloppy looking.
3) I really like the colors of Roger's FO kit, but the color blocking on the sleeves matching the shorts makes the look so juvenile. The worst he's looked in years, sartorially speaking.
4) I will be very interested to see what happens if Stan and Murray play. I thought Murray looked pretty fantastic in his most recent (losing) match to Rafa.
5) I don't like the shape of Serena's dress. It's very weird looking. Nike is on a bad streak IMO.

Well hopefully you caught her first round match this morning. I agree about the kit.

Both Australian Open winners out in the first round! Who would have thought. Also, Dimitrov losing in straight sets to Karlovic? Only a couple of days in and so many upsets already.

Harry - I don't like the shape of Serena's dress either. She wore the same dress in pink at the US Open last year and I didn't like it then either. The skirt just doesn't cover her behind properly.

This May has gone by too quickly for me--I didn't know it was Memorial Day weekend until last Monday and I didn't realize the French Open was starting until Saturday. At least I figured it out before play actually started. . .

I was listening to Radio Roland Garros on my way to work this morning (yeah! two weeks of radio as I walk across town instead of Mike & Mike) and they were saying that Dmitrov played poorly because of some issues that have cropped up the past few days. They were saying he intimated it was personal and not health--problems with Maria?

Boy, Tomic, huh? Should he just be renamed Bernard "the tank" Tomic? When he starts a match poorly he just gives right up. I'm actually shocked the scoreline says he lost the third set 7-5--did he actually start playing?

I'm currently watching Fer/Llodra on WatchESPN. I guess TTC has Murray but that's okay, this match should be more competitive anyway.

eta: Ha, poor Mahut. Stupid reporters.

Did Rafa's half of the draw just fall down? Stan out, Almagro out, Haas out, Dmitrov out.

Serena's dress it too high-waisted. Drop the waist, add 3" to the bodice and it's there.

Oh boy, Llodra is literally biting on a towel as the trainer works on his back. I want Fer to win this singles match but I want Llodra to go very far (as in, win if Max doesn't) the doubles so this is not pleasing me one little bit.

eta: oh, Michael Llodra is retiring from tennis! I didn't know that. I was hoping he'd do a Max-type thing where he would stop playing singles but would keep playing doubles. They're doing an on-court ceremony right now and presenting him with a present. I hope Fer understands french because he stuck around and the whole ceremony is in french (which it should be, of course). And Llodra's son is about the cutest thing int he world.

eta2: I should say he's retiring at the end of this season, not right now.

eta3: Wait, they just said he was retiring from singles, not doubles. PHEW! He is one of the most entertaining doubles players ever.

You're welcome, Grand Slam. Serena's down a set now and doesn't look to be playing that well, but Muguruza is playing well. I'll be so disappointed if Serena loses. I'll look forward to Wimbledon. I think she's going to lose. Venus lost too.

Now I'm just angry. Serena is playing like crap and making so many errors and can't freaking hold serve! It's over now, down two breaks. I hope I'm wrong, but it's going by too fast for Serena to do much. And Li Na is gone, so probably Maria will win and I can't take that. Now I want Ana to win it all.

Boy, the morning was upset central. Big upsets, little upsets--being seeded was not a good thing but the ship appears to have righted itself this afternoon.
