Jeez tiki, you just scared the hell out of me. All I saw at first was that horrendous giant typeface and all those emoticons in a line, and for a second I thought we'd been infiltrated by one of those other "inferior tennis boards." And no, I'm not even joking.

You all remember the pages we spent trying to convince chesty to stop going to those other boards? Your post just might do it!
And I totally agree with your earlier statement about getting a whole bunch of us together for a tournament. That *would* be fun. We should keep it on the table and - if it ends up being in North American - pitch in for admin's airfare!

Me too. And to make me smile after three straight nights of staying awake until midnight to watch my team/player lose is quite impressive.
I am as awful at haiku as I am at crossword puzzles but I do enjoy reading them so, thanks.
I'd like to put Toronto on the table. . . I've never been to the city and I think that is supposed to be a great site.

I think Toronto's a great idea, lt. Are they in Toronto in 09? As long as the Breast Cancer 3-Day isn't that same week, I'd put that on my calendar for sure!

oops the men are in Toronto this year- the women in Montreal. Next year it will be the opposite.
I think I may be going to Toronto this year so that would be good for me. We bought a money pit for a house last year (urgh) so have not been able to go on vacations as we would like but I hope we can make it and at this juncture I think we are going to go.

Sorry about the house issues, chesty! But I'm glad that this year you might get more traveling in.
I think we're out sadly for this year. My second will be 6 months by then and I have a dissertation defense and a new position/courses to prepare for. Sure does sound fun, though. And if I'm incredibly productive somehow before then, it would maybe work out for me....

Thanks, chesty - In general I'm in Education but I do a lot of critical analysis of policy stuff as well as some comparative and international stuff. Thanks for the good wishes! I need all the help I can get at this point. I hope the house stuff gets better. That can be such a drag --
